I spend most of my life knocking around in the countryside, mooching about with the dogs and going all over the place and i've never yet found a poisoned spud any where or offal dumped at a fox earth, yet every time any one from LACS gets off their backside and goes out into the countryside they seem to be constantly tripping over poisoned B.O.P's, dumped fox food, poisoned baits ect ect ect! :hmm:

Funny enough Redneck i've just ordered a pair of berghaus ankle boots to hopefully see me into the summer!!
-
Been looking at them Paddybarr, thing is unless I get a refund on my lundhags I only have sixteen pence to spend on a pair of boots till next year some time! Thing that get my back up more than any thing Sinda is that i bought a pair of grotty old work boots at a carboot for a quid and they have lasted me five months, granted I want wearing them out shooting or lamping but they were ok for mooching about with the mutts! Cant believe the price of some boots these days though, no way can I afford to spent 200 quid plus every six months on boots!!!!

I bought a pair of lundhag scout boots last year from cave and crag, had the first pair six months before they split just where your foot bends up by the toe, so sent them back and no fuss they sent me out a new pair, six months later same thing, they split in the same place as the last! so sent them back at the tart of september and haven't heard anything from cave and crag since!, not happy at all! Doesn't seem to matter how much a spent I dont seem to be able to keep a pair of boots on my feet for more than five minutes without them falling apart! Cheers Hyperion

sounds good that Its a blooming good idea Chilly, my mate showed me how to make them a while back and I wont go back to using any other type of slip now, they are dead easy to use too and the wooden toggle/peg/handle gives you a good grip on the dog so no wrapping bits of twine ect round your hand, you can use em with gloves on and you can even take the dog for a walk on it if you want. Trouble is I dont have a clue how to get any pics up. Cheers Hyperion

Get a lenght (5 or 6 foot should be plenty) of 6mm soft cotton or poly three strand rope, not that crappy blue nylon stuff!!!, splice a loop in one end to fit over your wrist, then make a wooden peg about one inch thick and just a little longer than your palm is wide and that tapers off to a blunt rounded point and flat at the thick end and drill a 7mm hole through it from the flat end so that it comes out about about half way along the length of the peg. Tie a knot in the rope tight to the spliced loop for your wrist to protect the splice then thread the peg onto the rope right upto the k

I make some nice lamping slipleads out of 6mm or 8mm soft poly rope, all properly spliced and with a wooden toggle, dont know how to upload pics any more other wise i'd stick some up -
most stupid thing i've ever done whilst pissed was crash into the back of a cop car at 90mph while it was attending another car crash! mate of mine once passed out and collapsed onto an electric fence after downing a bottle on JD, we just left him there flopping about like a fish my ex mrs and me came back from the pub pissed, she couldnt find her house keys so tipped her handbag out on the doorstep and while she was rummaging through all her stuff i picked up her bag an puked my guts up into it!

I adopted a nine year old lurcher a couple of months back and I know for a fact she has seen plenty of action but apart from a few nicks and dents on her muzzle you wouldnt even know she had been a worker. Cheers Hyperion

Legally an airgun is classed as a firearm even if it's under the legal limit, if you dont have permission on a piece of land you are commiting armed trespass, by using it in a public place you are commiting a firearms offence, by shooting at some one with it you are commiting a firearms offence and by telling the whole world and his wife in a PUBLIC internet forum that you commited a firearms offence you are being very silly indeed, a leg to stand on you have not got!

Just wondering if he is on here? I've been doing a bit of work for Eddie down at his kennels and have taken on Kurtis's old blue bitch Sky for him rather than have her p.t.s, have been out for a beer in town with her and my dog blaine tonight and a little lamp on the way home and she's laid next to me with blaine right now both of them snoring and farting away like a gooduns! Cheers Hyperion/Pete

Ok so i've got one of those cyclops lamps and its a goodun when running in off the ciggy lighter socket in the car but at the mo the only battery i can find for it at a good price is a 12v 12ah battery from toolstation. The lamp is a 100watt halogen bulb, ive had a ring round and asked a few mates and some one has said you might get 2 1/2 hours out of the battery if your lucky and some one else has said 5 1/2 hours easy and im kind of confused! Does any one have the right answer?, or any advice on which battery to get and where from? cheers Hyperion
