  1. hello everyone, im well sick of paying thru the nose at 'theives for vets' i mean 'vets for pets'. buggers charge the earth just to look at your dog then said ill show you how to clean his ears (he had a bit of a sore ear), i said i know how to clean his ears but she carried on then charged me another 20 quid for the priveledge and she barely got anything out as id done it 2 days ago. Also the nice lady vet was asking lots of delving questions about the breeding of my bullx, i told her i wasnt sure. well can aynone reccomend a decent vet for me? dont mind travelling a little, and i aint a
  2. my first is a bullx he's 15 month now, first 6 months were a breeze, couldnt do anything but try to please me, had basic training (sit, down, heel,) within two weeks of having him next 6 months very different, constantly testing, pushing me, getting more and more disobediant, the last three months after going back to basics he is now coming all good and has had a few bunnys on the lamp, after many tries. and just before the snow started falling he had a 3 out of 3 and brought them all to hand. hard work and determination and spending as much free time with the pup bonding and training, probabl

  9. bit of a long shot but, can anyone reccomend any good ground to get away with a few slips in this area, looking on google map just south of a place called cheverell magna, looks alright ground like. im going down to visit my dad for his birthday next weekend and ive been promising ill take my brother out with me and seems like a good opportunity as he rarely gets up to see me. if anyone could point us in the right deirection id appreciate it, just want a few bunnys. cheers. and i wont be there often only visit him few times a year so i wont be hammering anywhere
  10. works with kids with whoopin cough so ill try the steam, ill try that one, honey seems to of helped a bit so far
  11. not really mate, i do think his fitness dropped a little, i had a hernia op and the girlfriend didnt exercise him nearly enough for a week or two, but thats a month since and i think he's up getting there again, he didnt even get that many runs though and nothing too far or long, im only just starting him still really. i really cant afford a vet bill but i still dunno, i dont want to risk his health if it could be something bad

  14. hello all, was just wondering if anyone can spread any light on this, think im off to vets in morning anyway but any ideas appreciated. went out with my mate an our 2 dogs tuesday night, his dog had a cough, he thought he had scratched it chewing a stick, his vet said the same, gave him some antibiotics and said keep an eye on it thought nothing more of it but good to get it checked, well after spending the night and day together yeasterday i have come home from work tonight to find mine now coughing in much the same way, like he's got something stuck in his throat. he sounds like he'

  19. cheers for the replys, i need to get it sorted he cut himself fairly bad trying to jump onto and over a barbed wire fence the other day, cause i live on the edge of the peaks he is really used to dry stone walls but we go lamping newark way, so its all fences

  21. hello all, i have basically not trained my bullx to jump , he does it over small styles and jumps onto and over stone walls up to four and half foot no worries, normally. but i havent taught him at all and is reluctant to jump wire fences, i think it will cost us a lot of game where we run our dogs, any tips to get him jumping be appreciated, he's 14 month now, bit late i know
