    sounds like ye want a bedlington terrier there a bit big for fox work but are mint with kids and exellent to rat and bush work. if ye wanting smaller the border is king.

    put it to a lurch now that just been daft. border has the coat or two coats in fact and beagle x cocker gives nose and more drive in think cover.to be honest to much nose from the beagle in mine but with the cocker it helps mate with recall thank god. theres nothing wrong with crosses mate ye get the best off both worlds.

    i have a border terrier x beagle cocker and she works very good. she has border coat and works bush very very well.never tryed ground work for fox though just rabbits. hope that is any help to you mate

    i have three borders 1 is cross beagle and 1 cross jack russell and one peedigree they are all red grizzel. good workers for what there are breed for some are too long in the leg though.

    Hi i would like some permission or to accompany someone on there permission. i have a smoker and two terriers the terriers have worked bush and done ratting. I would like my dogs to do other quary but never had the oppertunity too. I also like long dogs and watching them at work. I have greyhounds that i race at flapping tracks but the current ones i have are too young too start racing or working yet but will be in about 6 months time so would like too bring along even if lead only.     asked questions me self mate but for a popular breed not much info on the working ability. just got a pup me self and she no oil painting but keen and the learning ability ok not slow learners as some say but that could be just mine.lol.all terriers are a hardy dog .FACT. COME ON LADS HELP US BOTH OUT ON THIS BREED. CHEERS FROM ME!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,I have a border terrier and was wondering if anyone on here could help me out with more information on its blood line please. The sire is off the south durham hunt and the dam is off oxcroft and a old line so i have been told called levi. Any information on these blood lines would be helpful.
