staffiretrieve replied to staffiretrieve's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Forgot to add that she's had a camera down her throat and up her nose, and was was treated for lungworm at the start as this is what I suspected, she's had a scan of her heart and all looks ok although the vets are suggesting she sees a heart specialist ( at a cost of £200 - £400 ) everyone involved is at a loss. She's going back to the vets today, but if nothing changes I'll be surprised if she sees the middle of next wk... -
Hi all, right, the Inlaws have a 4 yr old jrt bitch. She's been unwell for around a month but is really deteriorating now. It started as breathing strange and being lethargic and smelly breath, she went vets had her throat and nose flushed and antibiotics to no avail, she then went back for X-Rays and fluid was found in her chest cavity which was drained, and more antibiotics, by now she was off her food. She has since had more X-rays and an ultrasound scan and blood test, all have come back clear. She has been given injections to give her an appetite, she is interested in food and chews it bu

Hi terrier man, I've also been looking into the navara d22 the tax is £180 per year and from what ive been told they return around 30mpg and other than a few that have suffered with a conrod problem they seem a pretty solid reliable motor.. I'm actually going to look at one tonight!!! As for the scooby i wouldn't have a clue although i do drive a mitsubishi evo 8 with 260bhp and that does around 22mpg and costs a fortune to insure and £210 per year to tax..... Hope thats of some help SR

Thanks whip, it seems that anyone who owns one and hasn't had any problems loves them.. And as a few people have said to me theres common problems with any vehicle you buy... Thanks for the reply SR

Hi Ive been looking to buy a double cab for a while and like the sound of the navara D22 the only thing putting me off is the conrod problem that ive heard of?? Now is this problem very common and am i right in thinking that it mostly affects 2004 models? Also someone said its only a common problem with the king cabs? My reason for asking is ive found a reasonably priced one from a dealer, its a one owner 2005 double cab with full nissan history and only covered 30000miles, it will come with 18mnths warrenty, mot and serviced up to date.. Any info would be great..... Also an

staffiretrieve replied to staffiretrieve's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
How many dogs you got. MOLL. That was for 2 dogs and 1 cat, for 12 months supply. I feel sorry for the people who don't have the net or don't realise what a rip-off the vets are , The service from vetmedic was A1, I put my order in over the net on tuesday evening and the goods arrived in the post thursday!!! Excellent.... -

Thanks for all the great replys, I'm 99.9% sure that within the next few months we'll be looking to buy our first lab! In response to the colour thing, its purely to keep the other half happy, personally i wouldn't care if it was bright green ha ha, so long as it was happy healthy and works well for me. But like i said the other half adores the chocolate ones so thats what we'll be looking for. Thanks again SR

Hi, now for a while i've been toyin with the idea that i would like to get a gundog, at the moment i do a very small amount of shooting with an air rifle and as you may have noticed from the name i have a staff that does a little bit of retrieving. I have also trained him to do a little bit of sniffer work ie, i'll show him a tea bag then go hide it somewhere out of sight, garden/in the house etc then tell him to go find it which he is gettin relatively good at, at which point he gets his ball as a reward, i do this as just a fun thing as me and the dog enjoy this. Now last week i sent my appl
