If your going to lamp the dales Navek you had beter go in the daytime first and do some home work.Because it can be a dangers place at night to a stranger Been going up there 30years + and had two dogs killed lamping.Some deep holes and sheer drops.

Yes i remember bakewell and carver i got caught there lamping in1985 1983 for me...lol... It got to the point where if you got within a mile of the place you were lucky... the coppers were well on top of all the vehicles coming in and out of the surrounding areas and you got stopped before you even got out of the vehicle.. . . Its still alreet for the trout ticklers amongst us...hmmm.Still get out there with the spainel and a few nets now and then nobody takes mutch notice of the spainiel

Ferreted and lamped all over the dales for 30years with permition It like anywere else some places are easy some arnt so easy.But the numbers arnt as good as they used to be.In the 80s it was easy to get 60 to 70 in a day ferreting.Now you mighnt get 30to40 .Up there lamping Wednesday night got 31 with 2 dogs.

Totaly agree made a living digging holes for 40 years its the man behind the spade not the spade.Had a round nose buldog spade for years would,nt have any thing else.

I DO FEEL FOR YOU YOUNG DOG MEN STARTING OUT THESE DAY.WHAT WITH THE NEW LAWS AND THE BAD REPUTATION THAT THE LURCHER SEAMS TO HAVE GAINED.BACK IN THE 70S WHEN I FIRST GOT PERMMITION IT WAS A LOT EASIER.I STARTED OUT BEATING ON ONE SHOOT IN NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE IN TOOK QUIET A WHILE FOR THEM TO TRUST ME.BUT THAY LET ME GO FERRETING THEN COURSING AND AFTER A FEW YEARS I WAS RUNNING COURSINGAVENTS FOUR TIMES A SEASON.I STILL HAVE THE PERMITION AND MORE .SO WHAT I AM SAYING IS STICK AT IT AND WORK HARD AND IT WILL PAY OF IN THE END.GOOD LOOK
