Hi,
Last week I used the shooting times videos on how to skin a pheasent. I used this method on one of my pheasent and it came out good. Then I tried breasting the other the way my uncle told me ( pluck aroun the breast then cut down middle and cut the breast off) But this didnt work very well. I was able to get to the breat the problem was cutting the breast off the bone.
I went beating today and got 2 more pheasents and theres no meat on the back legs. So I am just going to breast them. Whats the best techneque to do this?
Thanks all help apprieceated
HI,
I went on my first days beating today and it was brillant really enjoyed it. I got given 1 cock and 1 hen. I have heard skinning is the best way instead of cooking. How long do you hang them for or do you skin and gut them straight away. Would they be alright hanging in my garage?
Thanks
Ok thanks. I was just wanting just a general over view of rabbiting with lurchers, dos and dont, and the laws. Plus I dont know whether my lurcher will be any good lol Ive heard its all instinct and will cum to her when she sees a rabbit ?
Hi, I am 15 yearsold and am a very keen carp angler. I am looking for a fieldsport (rabbiting) to do in the winter when the ponds are frozen over and just something different. I live in south cumbria so fields arent a problem and I Know a few farmers who I oculd see aout permissiion. I have a Beddie x Whippet who is just over a year old and has just been spayed. What is the best way in getting into rabbiting especially with a lurcher? Also what are the laws about hunting with lurchers as I have read a few threads about dogs being confiscated thts the last thing I want.
Thanks all info apprici
