get her running through small steams /shallow rivers that she can run through to retrieve, once she's happy with that get her swimming to retrieve, thats what i did with my last ESS, she was scared because she'd fallen in about 5 ft from an overhang when she was about 12 weeks, so lost her bottle, but this got her over it, problem then was keeping her out of water!

Hi All Just thought I'd post to say what good service I got from West Mids Police regarding obtaining my SGC. Sent away a few weeks before Cumbria happened, so thought that would be it, kicked into long grass, but no got a call the week after Cumbria, arranged to see me the next week, on the night the officer was due to come after 6, got a very appologetic call saying he couldn't make it, re-arranged for the following week, true to his word he turned up, rather than being questioned in depth it was more like a pleasent chat, he didn't look around the house just at the cabined, gave me

I went Monday and loved it, so did our lass. had a go at the come and try clay shooting, never shot a shotgun before and loved that, joining a clay club soon. As a complete novice found loads of info about things that I'd being interested in, maybe thats the difference, great show for a newbie, but not so good for you lot who know what your doing?

Hi Mate When I was a Kid my mum wanted to call a border collie we had one name, I wanted to call it another, everyone called it what me mum wanted except me, the dog came to both names no worries, so why not just let the wide call the dog what she wants.

Can't speak for other trade unionists or UaF, but if the residents called a counter demo to Choudry and it wasn't a BNP/EDL front I would be happy to join it, I hate all kinds of religious extremism.
-
Doug, try reading my posts, I stated that not all BNP voters or indeed members are fascist. Poacher, i agree it's the future that counts but everyone as also got to learn from history don't you agree/ Without history how can you shape the future you want or don't want? I realise your views are farly typical in working class areas screwed over by labour.
-
Nope not SWP or member of any party, used to be in the Labour party, like a lot of working class trade unionists. as an ex trade unionist how can you support the BNP who are anti trade union, when I was 19 and lived in Halifax rembember them attacking an NUT (teachers union) meeting, assualting some as they left the meeting, not uncommon. The NF, wrote a lot of stuff against the miners in 1984-85, just because the BNP have put suits on and are currently going down the electoral route, dosn't mean they are any less facist.
-
I didn't say that those who vote BNP are facist, not the case at all most are disenfranchised ex labour voters and I understand why people feel disenfranchised from the main parties, even some BNP members arn't facist, but the leadreship and those pulling the strings, Simon Darby in the black country I think, are. In Stoke I will be with the Trade Union contingent on the counter demo to avoid history repeating itself, as much as I don't like a lot of things in this country, I don't want society to become like 1930's Germany, like the BNP, EDL, NF and Stormfront would like. EDL street sold

I agree that the fundamentalists should not be allowed to march as the only purpose would be incitement, but why jump from that to such nasty racist outbursts? Saying that the wankers who want to cause trouble by marching reflect muslim opinion is like saying that Nick Griffin and fascist mates are the voice of mainstream white Briton, they're not. Saying EDL are a voise for white workers is crap, they are nothing but a load of football hoolgans who have being kicked in the head one time too many times, as for being multi racial crap, white skinheads and facists, in Birmingham there was some b

Thanks, yes wondered about the semi auto issue, to be honest too bothered, so would it be best to go for over and under to be allowed on all clay grounds? was reasoning semi auto for wildfowling, but that will be a way in the future, when and if I get a dog or become mates with someone with a trained dog.

Hi All Have introduced myself in the relevant section and would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. Some thoughts that I would like comments or advice on please. I have never really shot, other than plinking around with air rifles when I worked on a farm as a kid, I am looking at starting out with a shotgun, getting some clay lessons so that I at least know which end the shot comes out of and increase my chances of clean kills when in the field. I am going to get a 12 gauge as this seems to be the best all rounder, looking at either over and under or semi hopefully that ca

Hi Everyone Sorry for the somewhat provacative topic, I have being viewing the forum for a few days and picking up really good ideas for someone totally new to shooting (except a few feral pigeons and rats when I worked on a farm as kid), but just looked on the general topics page and thought I'd stumbled across an NF/BNP forum. As someone who has spent my adult life fighting petty perjusidce and narrow mindedness not sure if I belong or would be welcome here. Anyway, if there are people with some progressive, tolerant views; I am interested in getting into shooting, probably pest
