  2. Alright Chris, just realised mate, sorry :-) Me and Mike have been getting out the last couple of weeks really, not a great deal about really. Have taken a few rabbits and a fox. Not a great deal but then again the weather hasn't really been in our favour recently. How about yourself ? How you getting on with the 17 ?
  3. Look up Mike Norris from Brock & Norris. He did my HMR barrel for me and done a cracking job. Well worth a visit.
  4. Had work done myself by Mike Norris and he is top notch. He is only ten minutes away too which is ideal.
  5. Picked myself one up off fleabay a couple of weeks ago. Cost me £43 inc delivery. Got some cases and rusk off tinternet then I was ready. I used some venison for my 1st attempt. I found the mincing hard going, then I turned the blade the correct way and it worked a treat . Added a few herbs and away I went. I need to order some larger cases now though as the ones I ordered were slightly too small (26mm). Waidmann off here has had some off me and he reckons I need to take the recipe to the grave with me . I'm gonna pick myself a pork shoulder next and try some breakfast sausages, will let you k
  6. I've had an Isuzu Rodeo for 12 months now on a 55 plate. 3ltr Denver. Great truck and I'm getting 31 mpg out of it just around town.
  7. Had exactly the same thing Sunday night. Picked up the eyes in the lamp and watched for a minute. Tried a squeak, just had a quick glance and carried on scenting. He got to within yards still moving and another quick squeak enabled me to take the shot. A big dog fox with the HMR. Saw another two after aswell but they were having none of it. Eyes, squeak then vanished.
  8. Hi, I have for sale my side x side shotgun. It's a Baikal S x S with 29" barrels. Not sure what model. It is in very good nick and am looking for £150. Also have for sale a 3 gun cabinet. No shelf, 2 locks with 2 sets of keys. I am after £70 for this. Normal rules apply, will try to upload pictures later, am having trouble at the moment
  9. Telford, Shropshire mate.
  10. As above I have a 3 gun cabinet for sale. There are two separate locks with two keys for each. Fully police approved. There is no shelf or lockable safe inside. Looking for £70. Good condition, just a bit of paint around the edges. Pick-up only due to the weight. Shropshire.
  11. Thought so ace, I mentioned it anyway. It will be in the for sale section over the w/e if anybody else is interested who is a little more local. hope you come across something soon bud, ATB.
  12. I'll have a 3 gun cabinet come Friday lads. I'm picking up a new shotty and cabinet is included in the price but will be surplus to requirements. Not sure what type as I only looked at the gun. Just know it comes with 4 keys, 2 for each lock. I'm in Shropshire.
  13. Just a picture off the Internet mate, I never took it. ATB.
  14. I have fox on my ticket for my HMR. Long range rabbits and occasional fox if the right opportunity arose. 22lr for rabbits and vermin control. Local authority ok with this obviously. It's a postcode lottery mate.
  15. I do the same as liongeorge for the same reason. Although 1 night local plod pulled up alongside our vehicle as we were about to walk 1 of my permissions. Asked what we were doing and if we had permission. Bearing in mind we had two rifles with us he just said ok lads, carry on. Never checked our rifles, our tickets or if we did have permission. Probably coming towards the end of his shift at a guess...
  16. Ow do peeps. I've recently purchased an Isuzu Rodeo for lamping and noticed the jack is missing. Wondering if anybody has one spare or what other type of jack I could use. Thanks in advance, Lee.
  17. I've recently purchased a cluson LA4 lamp. I've been on the clulite web site today looking at filters. They sell a 3-1 pop in filter set for £26 which i think is quite reasonable. clulite I have spoken to them today to see if they would swap the amber filter for a blue one which they say is ok. My question is has anybody got a blue filter which they use and does it have a better result than the amber. I have only been out with the red filter on my cyclops lamp and this is ok but the quarry is seeming to get a bit used to it now. Any replies welcomed. Cheers and thanks in advance, Lee.
  18. I applied late last year for 22lr and 17hmr and was granted both . 22 for rabbits and 17 for long range rabbits and fox. I have got a CZ .17HMR. I don't go out for charlie, only the rabbits, but, if he decides to show himself then I will take the shot if it's safe to do so. I have taken three up to now, all just short of 100 yards and all have been clean kills.
  19. All depends on what you paid for it bud
  20. Nah mate, not a tanky I've got a CZ American 16" too mate, cracking gun. I had a few boxes of Hornady V-max 17gr with it and it shoots straight as a die with them. As said above if you can get a few different rounds and see which are best and stick to them as each gun has a preference.
