  1. Do you get points for a duck? In cricketing terms, I've been out for a duck the last three nights! Interested in joining mate, will confirm by Sunday.
  2. Hi Mate Have you tried calling Park Street Guns nr. St Albans. http://www.gunshot.co.uk/ They've always given a great service with both my shotguns and air rifles and if they can't help, have recommended others. If not, you could always send the gun via courier, http://www.parcel2go.com/ Good luck with the gun, it'll be a dream after some work!
  3. I thought I was the only one that had the pox!! Having invited a mate along, the only thing we came back with from 9 hrs on Saturday was the empty lunch box! In fairness we had three chances at pigeons but the first two where guests privilege and he promptly failed to take the safety off before the Pigeon vanished on the first shot and the second he'd failed to reload! Third was my fault, I sneezed and scattered three rabbits we'd waited 2hrs for! Brilliant laugh though and just great to be out!
  4. Better late than never... The two I use most! HW77k .177 - Venom Tuned, ancient, knocked to bits, the weight of a herd of Rhino's and just brilliant! AA S410 TDR .22 - Light, short and deadly accurate, love it!
  5. Doh!! Try phoning these guys for advice, were really helpful to me when I did something similar a while back. http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.asp?cat=accessories&SubCat=Bipods
  6. You've given them more than enough time to sort this issue. It's now time for them to rectify it by offering a replacement or refund. Try and catch the dealer face to face when the shop is busy. It's amazing how much more willing he'll be to want to look helpful!
  7. Hunters are fine, Fields are brilliant.
  8. I've got to go with the general mood! Time constraints mean I get out when I can, meaning I'll go out in any weather apart from fog.
  9. Looks brilliant, I'd be terrified to take it out! I can almost guarantee that if I had that it would come back scratched and dented within 5 mins! Great work!
  10. Always a cracking read mate. Will follow your example and speak to the local butcher about rabbits. Always good to have more local outlets. I do a 24 mile round trip to the game dealer.
  11. That's just fantastic! Really handy work!
  12. Hi mate, These guys have all you should need, just obviously don't start pulling the gun apart unless you have an idea what you're doing! Can't believe the bargain you got there! Good luck with it! http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?page=7
  13. Hi there I don't know if it's any help but Sandwell Field Sports can certainly offer advise or do it, I read another guy doing similar with their help on his blog (Hubert Hubert) although I think that was with an HW80.
  14. AA Fields, reason being I found that accupels didn't give me the confidence I have with the extra weight of AA Field in heart shots on pigeons at longer ranges. I had a few flying away after what should have been a 'lights out' shot. Having said that, I'd happily use accupels on rabbits, rats, crows, etc and have had great results, but where most of my shooting involves pigeons now I stick to Fields in both .177 and .22. I tried FX but for some reason, the gun wasn't keen, although they're the same! PS. Davy's right, we really are getting stung for ammunition. Before they realised the
  15. Just amazing stuff! SP's and congratulations to you both!
  16. Always a pleasure to read tales from the dark side!
  17. Not that I'm in any way an expert but is the air in the gun below 50 Bar? I read on here a while back that a stirrup pump can have real issues filling a gun at lower pressures and should be used regularly to top up as opposed to filling from empty. I'm sure someone with a few more ideas will be along shortly to help.
  18. Great going and a great right up. sp on it's way.
  19. Marksman, I'm really glad someone else mentioned this. I watched the last 30 mins and laughed at the sheer absurdity of it. I thought it was a S16, but probably wrong..
  20. Nice shooting and an SP for the skill and patience. Good hunting tonight. I hope you both fill your bags!
  21. Hi Mate You could pick up a PCP for that money, but it's doubtful whether that would include charging gear and that's another £100 + to consider. I know that Venom Viper had a Weihrach HW77 in .22, plus sling, selling on here for about £160, plus a scope for £50 from the optics for sale section. All done with a cracking gun that will last a life time, plus a reasonable optic, for Circa £200, leaving you £50.00 towards Birthday beer! Just a thought, all the best with your decision! James
  22. Cracking stuff mate, brilliant day! Have an SP for your troubles! What sort of decoys were you using?
