  1. Hi ive had my lurcher pup for six weeks now and he's coming on a treat. Im just wondering what sort of size hes gonna be as he's 16" to the shoulders and only 13 weeks old. Any informed ideas or guestimates ? Dam was bedlington x greyhound Sire was greyhound x deerhound
  2. This is my lurcher pup at 8 weeks. Running free. Confidence is coming along nicely. Recall is coming on well too. The sooner the dogs out in the field the better. I will walk this pup for about 1 hour a day and as someone said earlier if hes not out running in a field hes running around at home. At least taking him out gets him used to different noises, even cattle. Its all about building a bond with the dog. See him playing here at youtube
  3. Im looking to get a dog transported from Leeds to bristol. Can anyone reccomend a good courier? Thanks in advance.

  7. you sure did matey ! hopefully my cushion will arrive today. Once i get it, i will be out hunting ! i sighted the rifle up yesterday (without the bi-pod lol) and it seems to be very accurate. So watch out bunnies, you day could be numbered !
  8. hi mole, no word of a lie mate, ive just been out with my new gun hw90k and tried my new bi-pod that arrived this morning. With the bi-pod on.....well what can i say? ...... useless !!!!!! lose it tho and its not a bad little rifle ! its accurate, not heavy and it does pack a fair punch for a low-mid priced rifle. Anyway, i now await the delivery of the shooting cushion i order. Im sure i will have better results with that !
  9. mark if you wanted to sale these on a website id happily do one for you at a basic cost price and link it to paypal for you !
  10. Im currently looking for shooting permission in and around north bristol. im based in thornbury. I will be using only a pcp 12ft llb air rifle. i am insured and im happy to show certificate to any perspective landowner. the quarry i will be after is small vermin like magpies pigeons rooks crows rabbit rats etc. i will only shoot what i believe to be safe and clean shots resulting in an instant kill. please mail me or pm me if you have anything available. thanks for reading this ad. regards matt
  11. good plan ! ive just ordered the set as you mentioned mole. Im going to enjoy trying the bipod and as a back up (if that doesnt work) ive got the shooting bag ! so one way or another i will be on a winner !
  12. can you recommend any particular one ? great help by the way thank you
  13. guys some great advise coming through here- just one other quick question to secretagentmole, where can i purchase one of these shooting cushions?
  14. ok i will have a look. for that money if cant get used to it, then its not going to break the bank is it.
  15. thank mac, do you have a picture of your bi-pod on your gun so that i can see the set up ?
  16. i wont do it if its not worth the bother, i also dont want to lessen my shooting effects on live prey so the feedback given by all will be taken seriously and a conclusion drawn from it will determine the way forward
  17. i do fancy the idea but i have read that with a rim fire the bullet leaves the barrel before the kickback comes through the gun. being an air rifle and the pellet not traveling so fast, the recoil is taking place whilst still in the gun, hence throwing shots off target. this is why im unsure of the best way forward and if this will work or not.
  18. ive just bought a gas ram hw 90 k rifle. i know this will probably start everybody off with the negative side of doing this. But ive only seen negative comments about spring rifles and a bi-pod not the gas ram. could it work? The pro's and cons or just a bad idea? any ideas comments or suggestions would be gratefully received.
