    if you throw your lurcher in at the deep end its going to get hurt. you should know if the dogs ready if you have had it from a pup and trained it. when you think the dog is ready it should be out with a another expierenced fox dog and a wouldnt run it straight away a would wait till the other dog has done the damage and when theres still a little bit a life left thats when you slip yours then just keep progressing on each fox yous get if you think the dogs up to it. all it takes is one bad bite at a young age and you could have wasted the dog. all dogs are different tho. some dogs have just g

    a reckon you could work your lurcher everyday. its proberly best to get out with your lurcher as much as ye can because they can loss there sharpness. ave realised this with mine that season. when a had her out 5 or 6 times a week she was doing great. now am only managing to get her out once or twice and shes not as sharp as she was. if you can get your lurcher out constant and on quarry all the time you will have yourself a top dog. a dont realy think about muscle on my dog, if you work it often you will have a strong fit dog that can do the job atb poacherman

    get the tommy brechneys dvd in gwhp. the record in the championships speaks for itself, i met him at a shoot i go to and his dogs are great to watch. the dvd will give you a good hand. have you started using a rabbit skinned dummy or feathered dummy atb poacherman

    am not against against any lurcher or terrier men, i would hate myself if that was the case, a love hunting and hate the ban but just media like this will just see our type of hunting come to a end or we will just get hounded all our days atb poacherman

    I agree it is not fair to tar everyone with the same brush but you make it so easy....your use name is 'poacheman'. ...hardly likely to convince anyone you are not in favour of honest dog running activities is it! nothing wrong with poaching the odd rabbit, its just something i have to to do because i cant get much permission with my lurcher

    just read the news of the world there and theve got a bit in the crime scene page now on lurchers and terrier gangs hunting roe deer and badger. we all know this is illegal but its another downfall for our type of dogs. its got two lurchers on the front fighting with each other. ave hardly ever seen two lurchers fighting in my years hunting. there painting a bad picture for lurchers and sayin there devil dogs. they say the the gangs strike at night time with bright lamps. it wont be long till we wont be able to go out the street before getting pulled by the police its obv that theve caught som
