    ave got a springer spaniel that chases rabbits when out with my lurcher but when out with the shotgun hes a right steady dog. he knows the differnce. am sure you could do it if you tried hard enough mate atb poacher

    i think it would be great to have a dog trained to hand signals, im going to start doing it with my bitch, i would say shes fully trained now and doing everything right. friend of mine had his dog trained to hand signals and it was great to watch and came in handy sometimes when they were qaurry heading there way and the dog was far out and didnt want to start shouting. use to do a little whistle then do his hand signal for down. he could get his dog sitting down when it was about 200yards away just with a movement of his hand. seen some qaurry heading right in to his dogs path by doing that a

    got a little pup 3months ago and she was very timid, soon as anybody went near her she would it lie down and roll over. we had her kenneled up but decided just to let her run about the garden all day. she was just wandering about doing her own thing and anytime anybody was in the garden she got a fair bit of attention. it brought her on and got her confidence up. took her out a few times with the older dogs and shes doing good now and comes in to me no bother. sometimes i can still see the the timidness in her but hopefully that will go away in time. i think training and praising and giving th

    shes a saluki grey whippet grey. shes 16months old but still a got a little bit to learn, doing well tho atb poacherman

    your dog should be soft mouthed anyway mate. in time after getting a few it will learn not to drop them. ma dog was the same. she dropped them a few times so i started walking away in the different direction of her soon as she got the rabbit and never gave her time mess about with it, she started coming straight right in with rabbit, sometimes she stops in front of me and holds the rabbit on the ground till i pick it up but the last few retrieves its been back to hand so im getting a bit of progress with her

    mine was the same at the start but ave got a lab and two spaniels and there never out the water so that brought her on and i cross a lot of rivers so they have no option than to cross. its good if a go out with the gun and get a duck or that atb poacherman

    lol the banks down the burn are hard for the dogs to get up never mind a person with a sprocker licking yer face lolol. had a few close calls but never fell in. a mind big panda was watching a fish of the queens anns bridge and somebody kicked him in lol. theres been a few people in that burn atb mate

    haha thought it would be a snide comment from u, a give it out so al take it back, she got 3rd place 3 weeks ago down at the lurcher show down in ayr out of 16 dogs. so she cant be that bad looking as for condition shes out constant. just aslong as she does her job. she was good to train and im having my fun with her now atb poacherman
