I would have to say that for ferreting and bushing it would be the bedX and for lamping the bullX me and my mate used to work a first X bed/whippet and a 3/4 whippet/bull and the bed was always better at ferreting and the bull better on the lamp. I have always fancied a whippet/bull/collie X of some description my self but horses for coarses as they say!
  2. mine is 20"tts and fast as fook (whippet) but i also like whippet x bull crosses they seem to carry more muscle and seem a bit more 'gritty'. I personally can't see the point in 27-28" dogs to work rabbits, just seems a bit like overkill to me. This is purely my opinion and is not intended as disrespectfull to any person or dog in any way.
  3. here's a couple of my whippet, she's only 14 months so should fill out a bit more i think p.s. i know the pics are rubbish but there all i have at the moment. Again rubbish pictures but let me know what you think cheers for looking Adam
  4. A long shot but could it not have been an adder? i have heard stories of adders hibernating in warrens
