  1. Having grown up with John he was a lifelong family friend, was best man at my Brothers wedding and a work colleague to myself for the last few years. As young kids our little gang spent god knows how many hours tramping the mountains after rabbits with just my little Jack Russell to keep us company. We caught virtually nothing but spent all day laughing and ripping the piss out of each other - is there a better way to spend your formative years? We also had some great drunken times playing rugby for the village where John was a little tasmanian devil of a hooker, we didn't half rip the piss ou

    Cuckoo

Heard and then spotted my first one last Thursday morning ?
  3. Thank you Sir, he certainly was very well put together.
  4. Dam was a collie grey/beddy whippet type and Sire was a Laguna whippet. Long gone now but would have loved to have been able to clone him.
  5. Yes mate the bitch and the red dog were out of the same litter as yours. I couldn't have been more pleased with my pair as they did everything I wanted and a fair bit more! The bitch John kept back was as good a lamper as I've seen. Really glad yours did well for you too ?
  6. Let's just say that my pair have had an awful lot of practice on squirrels the last couple of years ......... #nobunnies
  7. I've got two Grandsons aged 5 and 3 and they stay overnight twice a week, they're boisterous little sods fair play but I wouldn't have it any other way! They both love the dogs and our Saturday afternoon stroll around the mountain with them is the highlight of all our week - dogs included ?. Having Grandkids is different gravy and i'm making the most of every precious second ?
  8. Thank you, much appreciated. ?
  9. He's 21" and rough coated mate. The pics are not brilliant as they're off my phone...... Cheers Phil
  10. I'll be looking for a pup this time next year but certainly have no intention of paying silly, silly money for one. I'll be putting the word about the local boys in plenty of time to see who's planning on breeding in the hope of paying a realistic price. I've got a nice keen three quarter whippet quarter beddy dog here so if i can find someone who wants to use him over a suitable bitch that may be the way to go. I can't remember a time when there wasn't a dog in the house but with today's prices, extortionate vets costs etc a dog is fast becoming a luxury item which is a real shame in my
  11. Ahh, that's a real shame - hope Simba does the business for you. I'll watch his progress with interest ?
  12. Dug out a couple of pics of a couple of my old dogs - litter brother and sister with a fair chunk of beddy in them. Not particularly good quality pics as they were taken with a crappy old mobile. ?
  13. Fair play, what a cracking litter! I'd happily give a home to every dog in that litter - I think you should do a repeat mating next year so I can have one..........?? Phil
  14. Absolute belter! Is it a dog or bitch and can I have him/her please? ?
  15. Jake is long gone unfortunately but was about 22.5". Ed is very much alive and kicking and is a really busy, robust little dog standing about 21.5" l do love a beddy cross fair play.
  16. Jake - Beddy/Grey/collie/whippet hybrid. Ed - Three quarter whippet/quarter beddy
  17. Cheers lads, picked up a pair of grade 1 altbergs for £39 delivered ?
  18. Afternoon all, can anyone recommend a decent army surplus supplier please? I'm looking for a cheap pair of boots and don't want to spend big money as I only need them to last this winter. Many thanks in advance for any replies ?
  19. Yeah the 8 played against my boys team (Blaenavon), he's certainly a very strong ball carrier but will probably need to work on his fitness if he wants to go further . My boy's 19 as well - his best position is 7 but he played 6 against you - look forward to having a chat at the return fixture .
  20. Good win today butt - watched you earlier in the season, very good side - ginormous forwards........
  21. Fair play to you for sticking with him butt, some would have moved him on by now without giving him the opportunity to develop at his own pace. It boils my piss when people expect their dog to be be the finished article by 15 months or so. I wouldn't mind betting that he turns out to be one of your best ever...
  22. I've had excellent results using honey on wire rips, smear it on the wound 2 or 3 times a day, leave it on for 20 mins or so then let the dog lick it off. I'm in the middle of healing a wound that's larger than that and it's coming on a treat
