is all his stuff bred off samson? If not your writing the mans stuff off over one dog of his thats not producing. And if thats the case am sure jp is smart enough to know not to use the dog anymore tha is if the dog isnt producing.I spoke to the man on the phone before and he sounds fairly switched on.I also spoke to lads before who had seen his stuff and they said its bang on.I supose theres good and bad in all lines but i think theres a lot of jealousy out there as well.Am sure it does nt help him much when he is put up on a pedistal in a certain magazine all the time

tripe beef and fish minced together and a cup of mixer with 2 and a half mls of collovet and warm lamblack poured across it for the cold nights.Seems to do the trick. -
there is still open coursing in ireland. But i think hounds are muzzled.I was out beaten hares last year in a huge apple orchard and when caught were released on the coursing clubs land a week or so before the event.

looks a smasher Do you keep a line of that breed? -
Alright lads.Just boared at the minute so i thought i would ask on here about lurchers bred by nick valenine.I seen 1 advertised for sale in donedeal a few weeks ago and he was a smashing looking dog.I have been thinking for a while now bout getting a lurcher again i got rid of my last lurcher last year as i wanted to make room for terriers and i almost regretted it straight away.I miss having a lurcher as i have always had one even as a young lad but since i got into terriers iv swayed more towards earthwrk. So am looking to get a new lurcher bullx prefferably if anyone can recomend anyone.Lur

well said buster thats exactly what i use. i always have a spray bottle in my box as part of my kit with water and dettol solution mixed. when dogs out from dig he gets a good powerful spray of the solutoin disinfecting and cleaning the dirt out of the cut at the same time its a great job. and i use antibiotic cream i get from a farmer i have pemision off its for mastitis. i apply this cream to the dogs that evening when i get home i find its better to only use it for 2 or 3 days so then you can let the wounds dry out i find they heal better this way.

very good advise there to any young or new lads to the game. i started out ferreting with my dad and his mates when i was just 6 or 7 years of age and then when i was old enough i wa lamping with them it seems like i spent my youth carrying rabbits but i loved being out hunting. its no wonder why i was crap at school . We parted ways hunting when i started with terriers as i dont have any interest in anything now appart from digging and my dad being pure old school does nt believe in hunting anything unless its for te pot.

i once turned down a pup from a mate before he was bred to the last. the trouble was i was pushed for room but realisticly i could have taken him if i was offered his litter brother or sister i would have made room. the truth was the pup i was offered was backward compared to the rest and am not talking about 8 weeks old these were 5 or 6 months old anyway to cut the story short i waS there on the pups first outing and to say he flew would be an understatement. as much as i was happy for my mate i was sick i did nt take the pup i also got some slagging over it. i think if you know the strain a
