I meant the choice is between a whippet and 1/4 collie grey.

I'm looking at getting a rabbiting dog. ferreting and lamping will be its job. question is do I go straight whippet or collie greyhound? 1/4 collie grey would obviously give me a dog possibly capable of fox too. Any suggestions welcome.

I'd be very cautious about carrying an axe in your yoke. I've heard of people getting in serious bother, for having axe and machete type tools in their greenlaners. Basically you need to have a reason to have such items with you. Especially if they are within easy access.

i do 1 week on and 1 off. week on is 6 x 12hr and 1 x 11hr always nights. done 8 years of nights and it suits ok. not exactly my dream situation, but better than the dole.
