  1. My neighbour flashed his length at my lurcher. She went very shy for a few hours. Has anyone shown themselves to your dog?
  2. The 22lr is possibly the best weapon for the best type of hunting. Rabbit hunting is real sport
  3. I've to decide in the next few weeks whether to get a ruger 10/22 synthetic with 18" barrel. Or get a cz452 silhouette with 16" barrel. I'm selling my anschutz 22lr. Instead of cutting the barrel. Browning t-bolt was other option
  4. 22lr 17hmr 223/5.56 270 308/7.62 I want all of them in a semi auto format with the exception of the 270, I want the 270 as a combination gun. 270 over 20g rifled shotgun.
  5. Squirrel, nipple, bungle, Godfrey, Neptune, squacker, pencil, Alanis, Maureen, rabbit, seesaw, red light, toro, lamby, Cleetus, Gloria, beretta, shovel, midday, lamp, battery, filter, raccoon, rustle, onion, rats, jumper, but my personal favourite would be deefur
  6. I have read that 22 hornet brass is usually rather thin, and read that ppu brass is usually bit thicker. That was my reason for reloading ppu brass. Work loads up to what I want with the ppu and do all testing with it.
  7. Makes sense to buy 100 ppu bullets, use them and start reloading with the once fired brass. As brass is 20p each
  8. And also you don't seem to need to batter the case onto the primer
  9. Try Henry krank on the Internet. I've got a few bits from there. Service is good and its got everything.
  10. I can get ppu 45gr sp's for £50.30 for 100. If I buy basic reloading gear and reload I could do 100 reloads for around £36-38. But the gear for the job is a minimum of £100 ( manual, lee classic loader, scales, calipers, case cleaners, trickler etc) The reloading is a great option, but is it the best option. As I'm not interested in buying fancy loading presses etc. Can I get factory comparable ammo from the lee classic loader?
  11. The way I see it, if you want a higher powered .17 calibre round, go for a hornet and reload it to the spec that suits your needs
  12. Give a good rub with lard. Nik wax do a great waterproofing. Just spray it on. There will be a nik wax specifically for fleece.
  13. I love my 17hmr but its not really a necessary rifle. Doesn't actually fill any gap that wasn't already filled by better round. 22lr-rabbits 22 hornet- 100yrds+ rabbits and fox. 17hmr does as much damage as 22 hornet on rabbits but lacks the punch for fox
  14. Deker I got that figure from an American forum. I thought it was rather expensive too. Even 1/2 that price isn't great. Can easily get surplus or reload 223 for less or very similar money. I tried to get confirmation of the price from cabelas etc but couldn't find any stock
  15. savage are the firearms manufacturer that teamed up winchester to make the round, looks like they are the only people doing the rifles right now. suggested bullet prices of £13 for a box of 20 if ammo prices aren't cheap enough it will make the 17 hornet a better buy, for anyone that likes to shoot light and very fast rounds, and reloadable. 17hmr 2500ft/s 250ft lb 17 wsm 3000ft/s 399ft lb 17 hornet 3515ft/s 548ft lb 17 fireball 4037ft/s 724ft lb 17 rem 4436ft/s 874ft lb all 20gr bullets. no uk dates yet, i'd be going centrefire, and reloading.
  16. Waht would it cost you for say a wheel bearing? Or Head Gasket? Set of Brakes? Admittedly, sound like you got not a bad deal there tho its a jap jeep, it doesn't need a wheel bearing or head gasket (x2 as its v6) every year lol. brake pads cost me £21+vat for front and £17+vat rear.
  17. i have a 3.0 v6 shogun, only mods are 2" suspension lift and has 35" extreme muds. i challenge anyone in a landrover with the same mods to follow me around any off road site. i have rear diff locker, comfortable seats, waterproof body, electric windows, working heater, audible radio all as standard. i'll pull you back to the gate before i go home, because your (chocolate) axles will be in bits (35's and standard lr axles don't go well together) i paid £1500 including the tyres. does 19 mpg, body work is good, chassis is immaculate.
  18. Looks like a slug x saluki
  19. how much is a set of spare batteries or bulb? i read somewhere that if bulb or batteries go your fecked, is this true?
  20. Mitsubishi delica 3.0 v6 auto with pop top. Some kumho kl71 265/75r16 mud tyres. Would be the dogs dangler
  21. sleep in a caravan or a dog trailer, i couldn't give two fXXks.
