  1. Make sure you only report dead boar badgers, waste the wan*ers time.
  2. Its worth basically what a man is prepared to pay for it, its a bit like spending money on a car tuning it up,adding trick bits etc, you never get your money back, but its good fun, it looks a nice rifle, I would have thought £350-£400 as a rough guide.
  3. I met a guy in Scotland that uses a .243 on them to great effect.
  4. Nice rifle, nice calibre mate, comparing a 17 hmr to .22-250 is a bit like comparing a 3 year olds punch to that of a heavyweight boxer, no comparison mate.
  5. So in theory, one could zero at 9.7 yards then?
  6. Indeed, wan*ers, by the way love the avatar dude
  7. As I have said elsewhere, another benefit of a springer for me, is,it is not dissimilar to shooting my stalking rifle, in that it recoils, and a good follow through is required, my Walther lgv is even a similar weight, so shooting from sticks, kneeling, sitting, resting on a tree etc all replicate shots I can encounter, stalking/foxing, if I use a pcp exclusively, the dead feeling that a pcp gives,is nothing like a fullbore rifle, and the recoil can take you by surprise, never a good aid to accurate shooting.
  8. Bloody hell that is impressive, at least he never committed any crime with them(other than owning them) it does show,as others have said, how easy it is to obtain illegal firearms, its a good job he just liked polishing them, rather than shooting them
  9. I have never really got this hunting large game with an airgun thing, I mean even the 500ftlb Talon in the states is putting out half the energy of a .222rem, a cartridge I would consider woefully inadequate for something like boar.
  10. Yep, .177 Walther lgv, as accurate as any pcp I have ever seen, and infinitely more accurate than quite a few I have seen.
  11. Ward d700 mini might fit your needs, take it off and put it back on in seconds, around £350.00 and no having to build anything yourself.
  12. I have had my m1 for ten years now, it is still mint, and I honestly mean it when I say it has never, once missed a beat, never! Do not buy a Hatstand mate, they are utter garbage, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
  13. Get it checked asap, it is highly unlikely that it will have gone over, although not impossible, you really need a chrono, or access to one. You will most likely find it will be spitting BMs out at around 700fps which will give you 11.5 ftlbs.
  14. I will second that, mine is incredible, and of course is .177
  15. One word Benelli, the best semi auto shotguns in the world, ask the yank military/s.w.a.t/police.
  16. They are both capable of superb accuracy,it boils down to which one feels best, in your hands mate, both excellent rifles,I hate the synthetic stocks on both, so my Weatherby/Howa has a Boyds laminate stock on it, which free floated the barrel, and turned an already accurate rifle into an absolute death ray.
  17. I would buy the Combro mate, they are very good, mine is spot on when compared with readings from my mates expensive stand alone one.
  18. Send it to Airtech on here mate, by all accounts his work is of a very high standard.
  19. Deadly accurate in my Cometa lynx, and nothing got up,old school but good in my opinion.
  20. If you are that bothered use steel,as I do if I am going to be feeding to birds of prey.
  21. Good gun the supanova, looked after it will last several lifetimes, they are built like a tank.
