  1. The usual stock reply here matey, the pellet that produces the best groups, not just at short range but out to your maximum hunting distance, try the usual suspects, Air arms field, H&N field target trophy, accupel, etc etc.
  2. Yes mate there are one or two, can get a brand new Chinese one for £59 but not sure how long they will last, cheers mate.
  3. Hi lads, have advertised in for sale section, but if anyone has a pump they no longer want/need gathering dust, give us a shout, does not need to be anything fancy, just working order, cheers.
  4. As above, if anyone has a pump they no longer want/need give me a shout, obviously in working order please, cheers.
  5. Dont know about the Compatto mate, but I have the s6 Concept, and it is excellent, deadly accurate.
  6. That looks like the outside of a bank, do you think they were taking it in to do an armed blag?
  7. Well you have made your decision now mate so enjoy, out of interest what power is it running mate?
  8. I hadn't thought about a break barrel tbh, I picked up the LGU, but they would basically be the same...would they not? I hope to shoulder all 3 tomorrow.......TX/LGV/LGU, so hopefully make a decision & try & put the 97 experience behind me! Haha.. Yes mate the same.
  9. charlie whats it like out the box as with the 97 as we all know it has to be fettle,d before you even fire it from new Im not taking any thing away from the 97 as once sorted there remarkable rifles but when your paying best part of £400+ for a rifle it should be right from the off . and i do like the look of them lgv,s atvbmac  Mac honestly it was uber smooth and quiet straight out of the box, it was producing just about 11ftlbs, I stripped and re lubed it as I do with any new springer, the quality of the internals has to be seen to be appreciated, absolutel
  10. Ok mate, I know a chap who may be interested, leave it with me.
  11. Of course mate, no good if it does not feel right, I have had both and can honestly say the LGV is in my opinion better than the TX super smooth, lazer accurate, and with a good moderator almost pcp quiet, in fact the quietest spring gun I have ever shot/seen, the trigger is not quite as good as the HW/AA units, but still good, and after a while I got to rather like it, give one a go you will be amazed, compared with the graunchy car crash sounding 97
  12. What calibre is it, and how much you looking for?
  13. How very annoying and what a shambles, they must be employing chimps at the local zoo to build them up prior to leaving the factory mate do try the Walther LGV in .177 you can have it in 18ftlbs form over there, and according to what I have read, they shoot superbly at fac level, as well as uk sub 12.
  14. Shot my very first rabbit with one way back when I was 13, accurate and powerful pistol.
  15. Peanut butter and apples mate, never fails, ok you cant exactly fill a feeder with it but give it a try.
  16. Out as much as poss, not flying a hawk this year so its the gun, be it air rifle, shotgun, or rifle, oh and a spot of ferreting, duck shooting be it inland or on the foreshore is taking precedence at the moment, but I seem to have unlimited squirrels around this year so the air rifle is out a lot, foxing at night with the .243 just need to put a deer or two in the freezer now, oh how fuc*in work gets in the way.
  17. Forget the heat Phil, wrap some frozen peas in a tea towel, ten minutes every hour NO LONGER, very effective at limiting the damage and reducing inflammation, I found it very effective after the chiropractor advised me to do it.
  18. Yes indeed you can,my advice sell the shi**y hmr (sorry I hate them) buy a pcp in .177 and another .222 job done.
  19. Steg just to whet your whistle, a couple of little local trips out with mine a short while back, accuracy is first class.
  20. Couldn't agree more ccI've just stripped and fettled a 95 The internal finishing was non existent ! But now sorted out its great Hw pcp's aren't much better, had 3 all with issues!! Atb si Lets face it for the price of even a top end HW spring rifle, nevermind a pcp, you can buy a perfectly serviceable car with an MOT so these issues should not arise its very bad form.
  21. The Walther internals as I have said before are vastly superior, the finish and general tolerances put Weihrauch to shame, the trigger is not as good, its ok and certainly usable but not quite as good, however, it can be sorted, but the way they shoot is in a different league mate.
  22. HW quality control is crap nowadays, the last 99s I tuned had so many bits of turnings embedded in the piston seal (brand new rifle) I scrapped it and replaced it with a Vortek one (superb) and the amount of swarf that came out when I de greased it all was quite staggering, most of the new HWs sound like a car crash(springers obviously) before de burring and tuning, its not on from a manufacturer that prides themselves on quality.
  23. LGV master pro in .177, beech stock is not bad at all, power is not low 10.8 -11 out the box, sort the trigger, best springer out there bar none.
