I see that champion of animal welfare, brian may,has been having the deer culled on his little estate in dorset,he had 23 young and healthy deer culled,to (improve the environment, and discourage poachers)what a w--ker,double standards or what,he obviously thinks that badgers are far more important than deer, and deserve to live and ruin farmers livelihoods, what a pathetic man, he has just shown himself up for what he is,laughing my fu--in socks off.

Question for the lamping people
charlie caller replied to Jack.308's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I would agree mate with the people saying cat,red filter, usually gives red eyes on everything,as said lift the filter and have a look. -
Not much difference, not half, ok here is the difference, without a mod, an ear splitting boom that echos across the land in the dead of night, capable of waking the dead,a giant muzzle flash (lamping) so you cant see the fox when you pull the trigger,as apposed to a crack like a hv .22 rimmy,no muzzle flash,(see the bullet hit home) tighter groups, less recoil (40%ish) so why would you not fit one?????? just remember to take it off and wipe the threads and crown on your rifle after each use (unless you like paying for a rethread job) seriously mate, dont know about your land but some of mine I

Which older rifles would you tune, if any?
charlie caller replied to redial's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
And to throw something in the mix a BSF b55 Bavaria, or s70 bayern,I had a tuned B55 in the 80s what a rifle I wish I had never sold that one -
well to ensure you maintain them groups and to hit a fox you may need different bullets. my rifle tends to like cci stingers. these are deadly. after you buy new bullets you will need to re zero your rifle. if your after the odd fox for the farmer i would bait the foxes. find a spot that is well camouflaged. i usually use bedroom window but you may have to improvise lol, then set your bait out at a sensible distance, say 50 yards. this way you know that your fox will be in range. i usually use felix cat food. as this brings the foxes in well. the beauty of baiting is that whatever range you de

charlie caller replied to woodcote1's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have a prostaff 3-9x50 bdc reticule,on my .243 and I have to say it is superb for the money,I dont think you will get anything to touch one anywhere near the price. -
Well done mate, slowly does it,remember she will be pumped after a tussle with a grown bunny,if I wanted to take my last fhh off a kill quickly I used to cover the rabbit, then chuck a white mouse out to the side, she would have flown from australia for a white mouse,of course thats ok until your bird nails a bunny in thick cover, then you cant do it,but slowly does it,let her tattoo the first few she gets,no looking back now bud.

I was only just saying the same yesterday. Standing a fair way back mind! lol. The old footage of the different tests they did is amazing. It just draws you in. I know after the atmospheric tests there was some treaty drawn up basically banning detonations in space but you might have thought they would have carried out the odd test further out into the solar system, there's enough radiation out there to not give a shite about a bit more. After 10 pints of moonshine real ale and a chicken madras on a Saturday night you can see 2.5 mega tonne one go off in my house on a Sunday mor

rip off shoot beware !!!
charlie caller replied to leethetree's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
And we still dont know who, or what to be aware of!!!!!!! everyone wants to know is it sweethill? if not then you are not doing anyone any harm by saying no, but continued silence is leading us all, I am sure to believe it is,so to reiterate all the comments,IS IT BLOODY SWEETHILL? -
In the real world no, if you pull the bullets from most factory rounds, you will see, if you weigh the charge, quite a marked difference from round to round, just as if you measure the aol, you will also see a marked difference, the bedding on your rifle will determine where in the powder spread you find best accuracy, rifles with good bedding will usually as a rule shoot better towards the top end of the powder charge, rifles with poorer bedding somewhere around the middle, case prep is a much more important factor, in creating accurate ammo, than worrying about the odd tenth of a grain of powder.

What a f---ing knob you are,go away,or better still get banned.

Nice one dude, told you he would do it, now he knows he can hold on at night, should be plain(ish) sailing, just remember to keep dragging the lure,or dead bunny for him to finish on if he doesent catch, well done pal chuffed for you.

best fox round for .222
charlie caller replied to patterdaleboy's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Try some Sierra,if you reload mate, fantastic range of .224 bullets, and I have yet to find one that did not shoot brilliantly. -
Keep at it mate he will get to grips with it (no pun intended) what I would do mate, until he binds on long enough, is to use the dummy bunny at the end of every session,so he is ending with a kill (in his head) as he grabs the lure, give it a good tugging so that he has to bind tightly to get to the chick or whatever, I know its well frustrating mate, but he is 99% there, keep at it and he will do it I promise you,but deffo finish with the lure if he dont catch one,it will stop him getting disheartned.
