  1. Join the stalking directory as well mate, always rifles coming up for sale on there.
  2. No sending an air rifle is perfectly legal via parcelforce 48 hr signed for, and A-B couriers are more than happy to transport sub 12 air rifles
  3. Post office mate, 48 hr special delivery, it will cost around 15-20 quid, or giv A-B couriers a bell, I have used them before, very good they were.
  4. Give it a go mate, she is a nice looking bitch, good on you for rescuing her, I hope she makes a decent busher, and as said the very worst is she will be a wicket keeper, I really like ridgebacks, best of luck, ignore the negative crap.
  5. Or buy a pump and forget bottles, gauges, tests and all that crap.
  6. Serious question bud, when you get it apart, lets know if its full of swarf, and the state of the piston seal, I hope its perfect mate, but I just dont have a lot of faith in HW quality control after the last 3 brand new rifles I stripped.
  7. Dri slide mate is dry (as the name suggests) ptfe lube, it is commonly used for lubing bike/motorbike chains, go on ebay and put in muc off dri slide chain lube, thats the one I use, does a brilliant job mate, while you are at it get a small bottle of pure silicon oil, put a dab on the piston seal edges before assembly, also well worth doing.
  8. Its hard to judge on a video, but I would say my solastorm from China is every bit as powerful as that mate, have a look on Bangood website, but be warned, you may end up a regular lol.
  9. Polish it out Tom, then coat the piston with dri slide, that way it stays on the piston, and the cylinder walls can be like a babies bum.
  10. Just a heads up anyone wanting a quality telemetry set up, I am selling my Tracker classic set with Marshal tag, in superb working order, on falconry equipment page, cheers.
  11. I know we dont often agree, but on this you are 100% correct.
  12. You are not required to have insurance to obtain a shotgun certificate, personally I would not shoot without it, and there are plenty of options, BASC being only one of them, but provided you meet the criteria, you will be granted a certificate.
  13. A dog does not have any more right than a ferret, but the aforementioned copper who cooked his dog escaped bird, why was that I wonder?
  14. Ok, do you like the rifle, does it group,do things fall over when you pull the trigger, answer yes to all these questions, and the answer to your question is an emphatic NO mate, shoot it and enjoy.
  15. Thought you were going to say you shot one at 700 yards, I would not have believed you if you had used the .22 FWB mate
  16. Absolutely Phil, get a sample pack and fire away mate.
  17. I may be wrong but I dont think they do them in different head sizes mate, so give them a go and see, I would have thought the 98 would like them, but as always its trial and error, my s6 is running at 11.7 with them, honestly the sound they make on a squirrels skull or on a body shot woody is most impressive indeed.
  18. I totally agree, at sub 12 power they do not expand as they might at higher velocity, however, they do make a hell of a crack when you hit something, and having used them for a while now, absolutely everything I shoot with them is lights out,I have never been a fad pellet fan, but these break the mold, super accurate in my Brocock s6, I am half tempted to add an fac air rifle to my ticket, I reckon in .22 or .25 at 30+ ftlbs they would be amazing, mushrooming out very well, hmmmmm food for thought.
  19. Now now Gents, he is an exponent of the religion of peace, please dont be so intolerant, he was probably just annoyed about the museum's opening times, honestly you lot!!!!!!!!! Shooting him has clearly infringed upon his human rights
  20. Yes mate my old 77 loved them too, was that in .22 or .177 mate?
  21. Done, welcome to England Donny.
  22. As many will know I am not a .22 fan, however even I accept some rifles......... hw 99s for example are better in .22, I would be very interested to hear how they perform in .22 if anyone has used them.
  23. You wont go wrong with a nice CZ mate, to be honest whatever you choose out of the rifles mentioned, will all do the job, the Browning A bolt is also well worth a look, my pal has one in .223 and it is a bloody accurate rifle with the right bullet.
  24. I have been banging on about them for a while, my Brocock absolutely loves them, as did my old HW77, they are still accurate at long range, hit very hard in .177 and I tell you what, I have recovered one or two from various things I have shot, there does appear to be some expansion, not perhaps as much as some would have us believe, but they really do seem to impart a hell of a lot of energy into the animal, body shot woody's literally just fold without a twitch, and the sound when you head shoot squirrels is tremendous, so yes give them a try bud, if your rifle likes them, I think you will be
  25. No reason why you cant have a .222 mod and a .243 mod on your ticket and use the same one, my .243 mod is rated to .30 cal, however selling a cf moderator requires a face to face sale, with the purchaser having the relevant slot on their ticket.
