  1. Ok well I've searched for the creams the doctor gave me and can't find the names one was a metal tube and other a large tub with a pump... but here's what I've tried and failed with - 1. The red lid Norwegian hand cream for chapped hands 2. Skin so soft (perfumed so stung like a bitch) 3. E45 the red one SOS I think it's called 4. Other branded moisturisers 4. Vaseline 5. Plain old olive oil (alone) 6. Baby oil (And lid I use the overnight cotton gloves for moisturiser) I'm sure there's more I've tried but not coming to mind at minute.
  2. that actually sounds quite nice will be trying this tonight!
  3. My hands were at their very worst in my 20s because I didn't wear gloves, they are a pain at times & not always practical, but it's the only thing that really works.... i should be wearing gloves I've boxes of them sitting here but by god I find it hard to do things with them on - catch on everything too But I suppose it's two birds one stone with gloves, not washing them as much plus protecting them
  4. Thanks for the above tips! Will try everything and anything mentioned to be honest I don't care how wacky : I've been to docs last year and got cream it didn't do feck all lol. I've tried wearing gloves but I find it hard to work about with them on for some reason. I feel for anyone that has it cause it's terrible, pain in the arse I'm constantly trying to hide them when out it looks like I've been rubbing my hands with thorny bushes and there unbelievably dry. The knuckles are completely done in, but the cuts and cracks are the embarrassing bit, especially being female. I can't get my head
  5. oh crap. See that's what happens to me, if I close my fist the skin just opens and bleeds proper big long hacks. Better not stay this way lol Like I said but I can only really keep the cream on at night, stings like hell putting it on the cracks too
  6. same as my fella his are done in on the palms - the grips so to speak cause of bodybuilding mixed with farming so you know yourself your best keeping the missus happy feck what anyone else thinks I wash my hands like 100 times a day as I'm from animal to animal like to keep hands spotless in case of spreads etc. so I put cream on at night wake up they're a bit better then by 10am there as bad. I bet you there's some odd treatment they'd of put on way back when. I'm banking on the likes of bird, dykos, gnasher, paulus and the rest of the "elders" ( I'm sorry ) knowing a trick or two!
  7. thank god someone got what I was saying it's not nice sure it's not. I must be a rare one though cause the palms of my hands are soft as anything but sides, top, knuckles in between fingers are fecked hate it.
  8. mo you need to have the right dress code........... 1 lycra jogging pants, 2 tight fitting shirt with buttons down the front(just in case you get heart failure and need resusictating ) 3 and proper fooot wear. and i'll sort it all out for ye jiggy I'm not wearing your old clothes my dear
  9. I couldn't for the life of me think of a better title! Now I'll try explain. You ever remember your fathers, grandfathers or your own hands, worked hands so to speak being all rough and cracking in places? Hard as anything? I call it working hands, but hard to explain I hope some of you know what I mean tho, I always associate it with anyone who worked with their hands for years, farmers, bricklayers god the list goes on. Well do you know if they/you used anything in particular an old treatment on them to try heal the cracks and just all round roughness? And what causes it to be so b

  11. Absolute crap picture and it's old but only one I have on this iPad
  12. I've a bull wheaten deerhound x deerhound although he's not took much to the bull look really. He can be a clumsy big bugger though and just grew until he reached 32tts. But by god I wouldn't part with him for all the money in china! He was bred by a very lovely man in Kildare - would of loved to have found his litter mates to see how they turned out and if they're working, but after years of trying I gave up! He likes to just "be wild" so to speak, but his nature - well I'll never see it in another dog I know that much.
  13. Sounds like the shit I found at my place Looked just like a cat shit only a lot bigger and was jet black not buried or hairy either We are all still alive and we'll so I don't think it was a panther, my poultry etc all ok so I'm lost to know what it was. FFS trust you to find one as we'll

  18. your right you wont pack them up (until ) your mind right fact , why don't you say to your self , right I going to treat me self to some new gear, even if its just to walk about in with your animals, or save the money for any vet bills you get, all this money from the cigs you don't by will soon pile up. so give your self a reason to stop and this will be one (your animals) and when you stopped in a year time , if you were not that far from me I pop down and take you for a mid day lunch , that a tester for you , as most people get cold turkey around pubs , etc where food+ dr
  19. I'd love to quit smoking, but as bird says its a frame of mind you have to be in, and I do not have it as of yet so I know if I tried now I'd fail in a way a let down to myself. I don't drink or anything, so I'm letting myself doŵn by smoking I think. It's the last bad thing I do so to speak. If I didn't smoke I'd be an all round good girl then!
  20. Are you making it yourself or buying one? If anyone has made one on here or is going to make one could you please share - I'm having bad thoughts now of putting wheels on the duck pen. But by god it'd take them to be strong. It's just a galvanised steel dog run I've them in but it's a pain in the arse to move. I'd to take it apart piece by piece yesterday to move it then reassemble. See my pain in the backside! I'd reckon wheels on it is not a possibility cause of the weight. But if I'd few ideas off here I'd give a go at making a wooden one myself. Little miss DIY
