  4. no problem.. And I have an evil bantam who I hopes accidentally lands inside a foxes mouth.! Evil isn't the word. Attacks me everyday. And to think I helped him out of egg when he was chick!! Grr His name is peanut
  5. That's identical to my buff Sussex only difference mine has the usual black feathering at neck. Could be a x of this breed though, I breed her last year she had chicks hatch no black on neck when she wa crossed with an ordinary RIR
  6. I've been wanting wild boar for ages and the buggers are ten to the dozen over there
  7. Location is just as important as the incubator in my eyes. First ever hatch I had it on a counter out of sun and would have been next to a window so I thought any draft will mess it up... Got 7/7 hatch healthy. Moved for the next hatch not far but further from the window and it was a nightmare, over heated fan dry the lot and had 6/13 hatch most dead in shell full term... Turns out the window across from bator helped due to more oxygen circulating around and in the incubator - well that's my view any how's only answer I could come up with.
  8. thats the first batch chicken_man. Incubating in the next week or so hopefully as I've a waiting list for them now

  13. Mate, I moved to Ireland this year so I have done nothing with anything as I just have not had the time whilst doing my place and getting established. There will be plenty of time next year. are you out of your mind moving here Nah it's great really
  14. Thanks they're doing good. The one with the leg was a huge disappointment - tried for 2 weeks fixing it, got its feet back to the shape with "shoes" but the leg seemed to be coming from the hip. Wasn't splay leg or anything curable that I could find. They have went really dark, when they were growing you seen the odd bit of colour and I panicked but the more they grew the darker they got. The hen in the last picture is really nice, blackest skin out of them all. Been busy trying to sort sheds etc out for winter to put animals indoors hence the late update
  15. They're shaping up nicely, lost one to a leg problem (was a rooster). Rest doing well, unbelievably friendly - surprising as they're supposed to be very bad around humans and flighty. Not these bunch, sit on your hand let you handle them easy. Roughly around 8-10 weeks must count up their exact age! Still very small.
  16. I'm shocked youngsters don't think my jerry lee really is a horse Be great to have a kids imagination again wouldn't it, although I see it's not left some folk.!
  17. You know Im wondering could I fit in it - it's gorgeous lol I'd likely break the damn thing. That'll get snapped up! Cracking
  18. There's individual ones, honestly I wouldn't touch the water but that's from the knowledge that little ******** used to go up and dirty the water kick the fallen leaves in and I'm sure the odd horrid person probably pee'd in it too. Probably cause it's a religious place. But honestly this was years ago so i bet it's fine now. It's very peaceful up there nice and quiet, worth a dander round
  19. Someone tried to put me in the tomb thing at coeys wells scared the shit out of me. Not been back and it's not far down the road Edit to say - Francie, coeys is supposed to be haunted by the way so that might double your interest lol it's creepy as shit.
