  1. typical twat talk from a wannabe lamper Ha Ha and have a Ho Ho for luck
  2. Guy i know on facebook set 45 snares and 20 traps yesterday, ended up with 48 bunnies an a jackdaw, do you fancy a trapping competition with him haha Be hard to arrange mate but i,am game , sort it .
  3. Those boys are knocking some rabbits over up in the Dales their at it day and night and catching fantastic bags . There should be a competition between THL and Moochers , say five dogs off THL versus one from MOOCHERS and being sporting lads i am sure they would give the THL a twenty rabbit start.
  4. As i said in an earlier post , some people will make foul catches in Fenns and not know about it , i twigged it years ago and have always wondered if any one else had ?

You beat me to it TC but5 i always set up a dead man and worked off of the gage rod
  6. The bottom ferret was caught in a M6 Fenn some years ago, my wife and me got her out and then back home ,two days later i collared her up and put her back to work i kept her a few years and she was good at her job.
  7. It would be interesting to see pictures of rabbits that people have caught without ;never having a problem ; because i am sure they have but do not know it .
  8. there was half a dozen wooden pegs there too [you can see one in the picture] little things like splinters , the only thing i can think of is after a prolonged frost it is hard to get a wooden peg in but you can force a metal pin into the ground and hook your net over
  9. They are a good mink trap though micky. (The mk6) I agree they aren't the best killing trap, far from it, but they are a perfect type of trap for pockets, and cubbies. They ain't no rabbit trap though. Much better traps out there, for that job. I agree that they work better in a Cubby but a bodygrip would always be my first choice , as for the M6 being a ;GOOD MINK TRAP i have to disagree, how can a trap that consistently fails to kill ferrets humanely dispatch a mink , given time it might but so will old age .
  10. I assumed that I was just wondering what about them is crap. Also what do you use instead if you look at the previous thread you will see
  11. Its possible but illegal , if you have to use fenns it must be a Mk6 but they are crap and should be banned .
  12. Had a couple more this morning out of the nine traps left in , ive pulled them up and dumped them on the top , i am over Norfolk in the morning to fetch my traps back . Next week i will set them all on the top of the warren as there is a lot of water showing along the bottom , i will get the traps taken up there also a bag of peat as this clay is awful and i think its cost me one or two rabbits .
  13. Only caught two last night but i think weather was against me but saying that elenen traps in a warren this size is just a drop in the ocean .Ihave left them down for tonight and i might give the top a try next week when i bring the rest of my traps back from Kings Lynn one of the farm lads took a rabbit and gave me a bag of greens in exchange i think it was about ten oclock and was on his way to pick is gaffer up who sleeping it of in the local pub after getting blind drunk last night .
  14. yes mate you have to cover the trap or the rabbit will try to avoid it , the paper is on the plate to stop the soil dropping through and stopping the trap from triggering , i usually cover the traps with Peat but i could not carry anything else up the hill.

When i started in 63 man holes were good money Brindle bricks nine inch work £3 1000 15 bob for the benching .
  16. Went to a place this morning just to show my face i usually ferret this spot twice a year but i have not bothered this season. The first thing i saw were these pegs set on a 20 holer so it looks like kids had crept on and tried there luck Ithen walked up the hill with a dozen traps to the bottom of a massive warren , rabbits were out bouncing everywhere and i thought the seemed nervous , i set my traps at the bottom of the warren in one block ,pissing into the wind but i was onlyb there to show my face This is a great place to ferret but you need three men and a stack of kit
  17. I'm struggling Micky not sure how to do them Just had a look at them Paul , very good ,hope to see a lot more caught.
  18. Great pictures Paul , can you put the video's up as i cannot view them on your site .
  19. Not really there's an amazing invention called the freezer that can make anybody look like a legend if numbers are your game ....... Go back on moochers and tell them that , you ran away once, go back and match them lads , FREEZER TO FREEZER IF YOU WANT.
  20. Posting on lamping is easy , getting the pictures up of two/three hundred rabbits is the hard bit.
