  1. I use Fence wire and I think it is 4 mill thick, I use this wire because it is available to me but I am sure any thing around that size will do . I cut mine at 44 inches long then bend them as that suits the soil where I use them , I myself would not use them in longer grass as there main purpose is to be used in softer soil conditions where a peg may fail to hold . I cannot post of any pictures as my Photo bucket account has been stopped does any one know of a good site to go on ?
  2. Forming a loop and tensioning a snare is easy to do but very hard for me to explain , Trapworks made a video of doing it and a Geordie also shown how to do it on utube , Snareman describes the process in the pinned section of this Forum. The only advice I can give you is STRETCH OUT YOUR WIRE FROM THE EYE TO THE TEALER AND THEN RUB A PEG UP AND DOWN A FEW TIMES , this will straighten the wire and add a little tension then FORM A LOOP ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER IN THE SHAPE YOU REQUIRE THEN MASSAGE AS SNAREMAN SHOWS AND INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE LOOP EACH TIME ROUND , if you are real
  3. i have just tried to I have just signed in there and tried to upload some pictures but it keeps saying FILE TO BIG
  4. A good first effort but with all first efforts there is room for improvement your snares seem a little overwound YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING TO LEAVE A I/4 INCH COLLAR AT THE EYE your tealers need improving but they are no worse than any one elses first attempt you need to practice shaping and tensioning your wires But not to worry that snare you have shown will still catch and hold a rabbit with a sleight tweak to the noose

  18. Me and my wife went to London for the day on Monday to take part in health review at St Barts Hospital , as we are both lifetime Asthma sufferers we were more than happy to go as it was expenses paid and we would see our youngest son for a meal.We went in there and first we had to fill in some very detailed forms about our health as far back as we could we were then asked if we would take part in testing inhalers and we both agreed to do it , my wife sailed through it in ten minutes but it took me half hour because with my hands I could not open the packages very easily , we were then as
  19. It might be a hunting forum but this is the general talk section, You're talking like blood was shed or one of them got seriously hurt ffs you seem a tad touchy ? if you like to see children fighting crack on , but I fail to see your motive for doing so and posting your fetish on here.
