I need to shred this lot ! it's holly around 40 mill what size machine do i need , i have been told that the oily leaves will clog up the smaller types ?

We go to Cancale in France once a year the whole place is one vast Oyster Farm a nd the sea front is yust fish Restaurants which are very cheap and Good , the Seafood platters are around £60 and Fabulous

I only get to have them 2/3 times a year unless we go to France then i have them every day , i can do 3 Dozen with no effort but to some of the Market traders at Brum put that lot away as a starter ! anyone else like em ??

I paid £7 , 15 shillings for my first , at the time i was selling Rabbits for 5 shillings each [25 pence]

The first one to cop it was a nice Breakfast size young un ! He /She fell to a very old 116 baited with Mutton which at present i flavour of the Month , we shall see who comes along next .

Old Mrs Rat as had a tidy up

I dug holes 6 inches deep in this compost and placed 3 older type traps in them then shaped the compost around them leaving a 3 inch slope down to the PLATE , when i arrived this AM the Traps were all covered over and unfired , i have now levelled the compost and changed the BAIT and TRAPS , we shall see .

Anyone who thinks catching 1 Rabbit in a day is a Crap result has never been Ferreting in the Midlands. The Fellah put a film up !it was not the best but you can only catch them if they are there -
Does anyone think Fish will be cheaper when we reclaim our Waters ? i don't .

The Rats are leaving the fields for better quarters now the weather has turned and this is number 6 who made it to our log store, nicely caught in a BG the only decent all round killing trap that is left now.

It has taken half a century to learn that i should carry dry Clobber in my Motor but i got there in the end .

Had a half good picking today but the rain had whopped them as well as the Bullocks, the place i went all ways throws big un's but not this early in the season, gave some away had some for dinner and made a few Bob and thats the name of the game .

My first day emptying the traps did not go as planned because as soon as we arrived i fell in ! i was lucky my wife was there to take a few pictures and shout encouragement as i swam to the Bank dressed in Winter Clothes Wellingtons , when i did manage to scramble out of the Quarry my Wife who thought it was all very funny shouted YOU HAVE LEFT YOUR HAT.

!A couple of mates went North for a night and a morning in the day they set a few Wires then in the morning they picked up and had a bit of ferreting , they had 41 in the snares and 29 with the ferrets not bad eh !

Just about a lb to-day but in 4 days there will be a good picking to be had and looking at the Rings it may be a good season though i dont know who will be buying

Every day it's a race against the Squirrels but we manage a few and they are getting bigger , there is a lot Squirrels feeding under this tree on most mornings and it's not unusual to see more than a dozen at first light .
