    racists

I have to agree with you there, the Germans at least had the manners to try and invade us head on, fortunately they lost. But it seems that we have now been invaded and we didn’t even get to have a decent fight over it. I believe that the fellas that died in the second world war would be turning in their graves if they could see what was happening to our country, they fought and died for nothing if the Muslims get their own way and turn this country into a Muslim state. I don’t feel that I am in any particular way racist, if they leave me alone then I will leave them alone, simple!

    longnetting

micky , why can the net only be set on the track ? why not set on the feeding field ? for the net to work properly , its best if the rabbits are moving at speed , if they have just gone thru a hedge , they will be alot slower and will not get caught up aswell the net must be set on the track ,the feeders are rocks, gorse .braken, impossable to net,the track is a mile long and curls around the hill, the rabbits must cross the track to reach safety. i have had hundreds of [daytime] rabbits running at speed bounce off long nets, some of them, time and time again ,i have also watched rabbits slow

in the coming season i intend to net a hill thats covered with brambles ,and gorse, the rabbits come off the hill, cross a track, through a hedge, then into the feeding fields, the problem is ,the nets can only be set on the track which is about 20 feet wide and made of crushed stone, its impossible to push any type of peg into it ,and as the public have access and farm machinery uses it continuously nothing semi permanent could be left out. I have one or two ideas on how to approach it but any input would be welcome - micky

  18. most of those lurchers that will do it ,no bother at all, have never bothered doing it
  19. it doesnt take much of a dog to catch a ferreted or lamped rabbit, the dog i was referring to took a dozen rabbits in open country unaided by ferrets, lamps ,or mixi, a feat that 99.9%of lurchers could never hope to achieve especially those big daft bull crosses micky dont get me wrong i love a good whippet but thats a narrow minded or inexperienced attitude, and KC whippets do lack a good coat ,i always feel sorry for em when theyre standing there shivering when it gets a bit to cold for em i was giving my opinion based on facts, fact 1 , i have seen a whippet catch a doze

  22. i thought it might be badgers, theres lots of them here.the place is alive with rabbits and i snare quite a few but the foxs and badgers beat me to most of them, for some reason they dont bother trapped rabbits, could be the trap puts them off, or the rabbit is dead ,and not as visable ,or vocal as a newly snared rabbit micky
