  2. well why do you use a line and collar if you have never had to dig ,why bother? it's because i was shown over 15 years ago this way how to work ferrits on lines and it's worked for me thats why i've used one all the time i've been ferriting so how long you been ferriting and how many times you've had to dig and what method do you use rich over 50 years, 100s probably more, the spade method i would not go out nowdays without a box and collers ,lining is allright if you like digging and you have a day to waste.Tell me mate why do you put a line on a ferret for ? if

  5. [i had some good bags in the 70s 80s lamping and ferreting,i had to , i needed the money,i had a young family and i got 27 pound a week sick pay,i could,nt lay bricks ,but i could catch rabbits i had a good market and got a good price, there are more rabbits about nowdays you just have to get off your arse and find them,i used to be out early evening or late night, often both ,i needed the money ,after thirty years at it i no longer need the money,so now i still go out as much as i can ,but large bags dont interest me [ though i like to read about others getting them]the same as chalkwarren,i
  6. Knocked a few down this morning, had eighteen rabbits out of forty wires, not a good night for snaring and a fox had ragged one of them, but a good result for me . Cheers Glen.
  7. James, its a bit of a long shot, but see if you can get in touch with one of the lads in the lamping competition ,sometimes they catch the odd rabbit
  8. went and set a few snares at Melton this morning, the field i was in was covered in bluelegs,i picked a few pounds and left the rest ,i was just leaving for home when i heard a rabbit whistle, the last snare i had set had caught one,i lamped this land in the 60s and 70s and took a fair few rabbits over the years but they were never easy, with a bit of luck there will be one or two sat there in the morning, wearing their shiny, new necklaces.
  9. I would sooner go out for an hour or so than watch videos, but one of my kids gave me one for xmas a few years back,i thought it was rubbish, made for kids ,or indoor hunters,in my opinion the mans a chancer ,but he knows his market ,so hes probably a rich one ,good luck to him.
  10. OK clever cloggs, I'll re-phrase that and say A new British heavyweight champion of the world! The heavyweight division is in a dire state, but to put Haye in the league of Bodell and London would be to look back in rose tinted glasses. Them pair wouldn't fair any better in today's heavyweight division, and Haye would of smashed the pair of them in the same night. Brian london was a hero lol , i remember one of his fights , when all hell broke loose after he was nutted by his opponent a few times, good ol brian what an entertainer half the crowd was having a punch up in the ring, still
  11. its world champion mate, and to call either one champion is, an insult to the true greats, these two clowns were on a par with jack bodell or brian london, utter crap ,joe bugner ought to make another comeback and thrash the pair of them.
