I would l like to have a compact disc made for a special birthday present , is there a company out there who do this sort of thing ,it would mainly be songs from the 60s and a few from the early 70s , Thanks in advance. Micky.
  2. one of the lads accused of this crime. who a few on here consider to be some sort of hero .was serving a sentence of 24 years for the murder, and mutillation of two disabled old ladys
  3. its allright stabbing burglars, nothing wrong with that at all,but i was in that type of situation once ,and a innocent man was hurt and it could have been much, much worse .
  4. when you are out before first light and the woodside is decorated with these, you see the point
  5. When i was lamping ,iwas lucky ,i had dogs that seemed to train me.
  6. I went over at dinner time and set half a dozen wires ,i had a look at around 6 pm ,two rabbits had slipped up ,one was only a titch ,so i sent him on his way, the other was three parts grown ,so hes in the pot on monday
  7. No twine is used , wire to swivel - swivel to fence ,i am not physically able to tie knots, so this method suits me,the loop is adjusted by pulling the wire through the tealer ,that is then pushed in to the required height and the swivel clipped to the fence
  8. It is a carp swivel, the snare is held in place with a wood tealer ,thats the stick that looks like its laying across the rabbits head, the wire is held in place by a notch cut into , the top of the tealer, then the loop can be adjusted ,you could just tie the wire onto the fence ,but this way suits me.
  9. will be doing this one next week
  10. you are better off getting there at first light mate
  11. I have just had a few weeks in france,we stayed with some old friends in thier farm house ,it was close to the ille de rance in the Brittany region, although we travelled allover the area ,we saw only one rabbit,, what were there though was Coypu ,we saw lots of them from about 2lb up to 20 lb,one of the lock keepers trapped them on thier runs using cage traps baited with apple,so far this year he has caught about 60 but he knows others who have caught more,he said ,there is a market for the better fur and some of the meat is eaten,he gave us a pot of coypu pate[ which is now inside the dog]. 12. to some folk on the air gun section, a rabbit, can also be a hare.
  13. i had a run in with a bull one night, the bull won both rounds,i was in hospital for three weeks,i was lucky the bull had not been polled ,if it had ,it would have killed me,it must take a lot of bottle [or the contents of a few] to mess with one ,because they flick you about like a gnat .
  14. Je moet altijd oppassen met wat je op internet zet. De politie schijnt internet ook te gebruiken en jij gebruikt je foto en je naam. Don,t tell him, Pike!
  15. i had a mate down from Norfolk over the weekend,we shot a few pidgeons ,and set some rabbit wires.About three years ago, i caught two fox cubs side by side in peg snares ,set for rabbits in this field, these two were ten yards apart.
  16. Yes mate ,they do , to mistake a leverett for a rabbit is easy to do, even in the day, but to have a dead rabbit in front of you, and believe it to be a hare, shows a complete lack of knowledge of two of the most abundant creatures in britain.
  17. it would be better still ,if some folk knew what animals they were shooting and killing.
  18. Buster ,i think you would be better off just buying a couple ,then adding to them as you get better at the job,i find that some people who start off by using a lot of traps ,or snares ,soon get sick of it because they fail to catch much,i think the reasoning behind this is,the more you set, the more you get, this is true but you have to walk, before you run,if you are just setting a couple, you can remember, exactly what you did ,and why you did it.
  19. Thats a rabbit, an old milky doe ,laid out in front of two young uns, i dont own a dog.
  20. stinking out a warren is exactly that ,nothing to do with smoke,if you saw people shooting rabbits that had been stunk out ,they must have had quite a lot of patience, because it took a few days to work. Well they were using burning rags, so i guess the smoke may have played a part? All i know is what i saw matey The stinking out for the rough shooting was done the day before and had good results. takes a good shot to hit a rabbit running through all that thick ,acrid ,oily ,smoke ,
