Rabbit Glue was made from the Pelt it was used because it became soluble in water then expensive delicate components in stringed instruments could be removed by a drop of Water....................So Moocher boy stay out of the Water as your Head could fall off

The Gal is just a high spirited Filly who needs a bit of calming down ! to do this i would get the first 8 or 9 inches in and wank the rest off...........should do the trick .

The main problem with insulated houses is that a few years back when Plastic double glazed windows were fitted they had no Trickle Vents and that caused the condensation problems .

No Mate ! one chap came to our house with some day old Chicks which we chopped up then warmed up to body temperature but she was fading rapidly later on a lady rang up asking how the Bird was and we told her it had shot through, she then asked if she could have the body for inspection which we were happy to agree too.

The only Glue obtained from a Rabbit was from its Skin ! this was used by Artists to size their Canvasses also by Violin and other stringed instrument makers including Stradivarius . I have never heard of anyone saving Rabbit Bones for Glue and i think you be more productive getting the top six posters in General talk and make them Toss each other off into a Bucket.

I've had that lots of times with the Mk 1 collars it was very easy to over tighten them causing them to stop working especially if they were a few years old .

The first i saw of the Disease was on the route from Loughborough to Nottingham i think it was in a trap or snare or just sitting there next to one not to sure which it must be 66 years ago , i had to take it too the Doctors where he gave me a note the i went with my Grandad to Loughborough Police station as it was a notifiable disease a Week later we were delivering Cheeses around the Warren hills in Charley and the road was covered in Dead or Dying Rabbits then going down the drive to a Convalescent home their were hundreds and it stunk . And that was that .

Look on General talk there is a stack of old Basturds on there that can remember the Black Death never mind the Mixi I was born in 47 and it is still very vivid in my mind i n those days every boy in our Village would go after Rabbits and i am sure it still is their minds too because there was no other way of getting Money, Mixi was a life changing event that affected most men and boys in nearly every Village in the UK even my Mam supplemented her War pension by dressing and selling Rabbits

There are not many old Rabbit catchers left on this site now and i was wondering if there is any one here who remembers life before this disease broke out ? , i often hear people say : THERE ARE NOW AS MANYRABBITS ABOUT AS BEFORE MIXY: well i have never seen it though i came close twice, back in the day maximum infestation was considered to be 28 Per acre that might seem many to some folk but imagine it on a 1000 acre farm , one record i remember from the FIELD magazine was from an area i know well Bradgate Park in Leicestershire was about 6000 Rabbits shot by 8 guns in a day another was how

I grew ten plants and they grow very Bushy and the fruit is easy to miss and they rapidly grow big and pull down too the ground where the Squirrels gnaw them also my Dog will not stop pulling the leaves of and eating them Good croppers and easy to prepare
