  1. Still a big pup yet, penny will drop soon just have patience. Have you a picture of him, my friend used to hunt a wolfhound / Greyhound back in the day. Game dog he was to.
  2. Earth Dog Running Dog was always a great read. Sad news They don't make them like him anymore. RIP Dave
  3. Absolutely none in the South Down area. RHD and birds of prey have wiped them out. Hardly see a rabbit on the lamp now. Sad state of affairs
  4. If a spaniel is switched onto anything it is some tool. Know a lad hunts nothing but foxes with his and they mark holes, bolt foxes and would kill any they get a hold of. I have spaniel blood in some of my hounds and puts some drive into them. Has to be the proper old type spaniel and not he field trial dirt that have no stamina
  5. Folks, just to let you know that we raised 4000 pound for the Southern Area Hospice from our dog show in Burren. Thanks again to all of you who supported the show and we hope to do it all again next year.
  6. Thank you for the kind words and also for your help and support with the show yesterday, you were a great help. Thank you as well to the McGrath family for doing a great job organising the racing and making it such an enjoyable event. Finally a massive thank you to each and every one of you that turned out and supported the show yesterday, it is greatly appreciated. As stated before all proceeds are going to the Southern Area Hospice and we will be announcing the total raised once final tally is in. It was our first time running a show so hopefully we ticked most boxes but we also learnt a lot
  7. That's all the classes for the show next Saturday guys. All the judges are local hunting men with years of experience working dogs. Hopefully get a good turnout as all the money raised is going to the Hospice who do great work.
