  2. I saw it, dont know the full story, looks like they had no permission. the report said they were at a badger sett but they weren't charged with any badger offences?

Im with Millet on this one. No way an eagle can take out a wolf. I have seen footage on one of Attenboroughs programmes where a goldie was trying to force a deer over a cliff edge. Very crafty!
  6. This is becoming another example of how threads spiral into sillyness. we all start over analysing and speculating about what happened and what WE would have done. The trouble with papers and even TV news items is that you often dont get the full story. an example is the recent case where the copper slapped that girl who is now claiming assault. The news just showed the slapping but the full video shows a lot more.
  7. RIZLA, Are you smoking one?
  8. translation anyone ? i had my dogs back.and 6mths in jail £3.500 fine and banned from keeping dogs for 5 years............. if thats any help. you had your dogs back, but got banned from keeping dogs ?
  9. its Dettol ! what ever you do, DONT put bloody Domestos on it. It will burn the skin. something like savlon or sterile eyewash will also be ok. .............barbed wire should be banned. It doesn't do the job it'supposed to, it damages the hides of cattle and other stock and it rips yer coat when its by a footpath. And there's always a old bloody roll of it stuck in the corner of some field.
  10. big and nasty countryside act ? I can't fully agree with you there, yes there are issues when it comes to hunting sports etc, but the overall theme of the act gives good protection to some important species, especially rare birds. Legislation is almost impossible to make perfect and the law is always complicated, wouldn't it be great if it wasn't needed.

    New permission

get it in writing if you can. well done!
  12. Only an exemption if you have permission yes, i think that was the crux of the case, its often hard to get the full story in these cases. perhaps highlights the importance of permission.
  13. yep, there is an article in Lancashire Telegraph website but I dont know how to add the link.
  14. there was something on local radio this aft about blokes done for illegal hunting in Blackurn i think? I wasn't listening properly and only got tail end. does anyone know more?

    NON HUNTERS

I am not a "hunter" I work in the countryside and have a passion for nature. I only shoot when being shot at! I am a strong advocate for countryside management. Don't forget, more people watch football than play it.
  17. gnashers gone quiet? I was looking forward to his reply about the car accident? then again.. if we all thought like him we wouldn't need prisons, police, courts, solicitors ...

    foxes

Aren't all canines colour blind? I,m fairly sure they don't see the same colour range as humans.
  19. i know some lads on that job over here at the mo, they did 84 in about 3 square miles 2 years ago, now diffrent area, but just, trapping and vaccinating, releasing, then recatching and testing to see if its worked, f*****g crazy stuff!! Thats what the next step is apparently, so we are on hold and twidling our thumbs. I was catching them in live catch snares before this and shooting them in the brain with my .22 rifle, very effective if you ask me, as all the TB in the area we were snaring in, went right down. 30 % of the badgers, had the TB virus. Frank. Fran
