Whats in your shooting bag?
froggy43215 replied to froggy43215's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
The bag is a camelbak striker xt in apg. I tried for ages to find one in the uk but couldnt, so I had work order me one through from the states. If you want one give your local Cotswold outdoors a ring. The product code is 63110137 4040 0 They are £65 plus postage and expect to wait around eight weeks for it to come. Failing that give me a shout at the Harrogate branch (01423 701100) and I will order one for you. Alex -

Good point there Andy. Springerss are much cheaper to run but if you want a half decent one its gonna cost you more at the start. It would work out cheaper in the end though. I remember going through about 15 bulbs the first few days I got my old beretta. Then it had to go on the shelf until I could get some more powerletts. -
Now then mate. Where are you? If your local to Harrogate we can take a mooch.

I use it as a reward for the dog. At the end of the session we have a play as well. -

I probably should mention that I dont cary all this about with me. I cant stand the "floating about" as I always forget/ loose somthing. I just grab my bag when I go, and when I get there I just take whatever I need for that session and leave the rest in the car. -

Border terrier. Hes not the calmest dog yet as hes only a year old. Hes great with the tree rats though. I mainly use him for finding warrens/ runs/ distracting tree rats & picking up (and then running off with ) shot game. -
Better late than never.... The Jack Pyke tape is the same as the compression bandages that vets and equestrian types use, just cammo coloured.

I think you need to sell some day tickets to recoup the cost of the build. Bagsie ticket number 1. I wish I could do this on my permissions.

In summer gray squirrels are most active in the early morning and then again in midafternoon; during the middle of the day they rest. In the winter, when the days are shorter, around noon is their peak activity time. Good plan with the fens, I prefer the live traps baited with peanut butter & monkey nuts. Set a couple out and get him to check them and give you a call when you need to dispatch them.

Nice shooting. What do you think of the thunderbolts? I was asking about them in the gunshop and they said they were a bit rubbish, but then some of the reviews say there great. it would be good to get an un bias oppinion.
