  1. I bought all the gear years ago and still have some left, got some off Fourteenacres, some off ebay including a bag a micro-locks that i just re-use over and over again! Cost ya few pound to gather up the parts but cheaper in the long run!
  2. In my opinion BGs are far superior to Fenns when it comes to killing power! I use them on mink and the 110 is more than strong enough for the job, and i cant remember the last time i had one alive in the trap! Saying that, for an all round trap the fenn is probably the better option if your gonna use them on rats mainly!
  3. means your doing it right...you wont find rats where theirs mink so your trappings haveing a affect on them! Well that makes sense alright! With all this flooding the rats will be turning up in many a back garden and farmyards!
  4. Nice work there lad! Found it hard keep the rats outa my mink traps this year!
  5. Your gonna laugh at this but the best bait i've found for catching rats is some Crispy Fried Onion which can be got in either Lidl or Aldi, cant remember which! It has a really strong smell and rats go mad for it! It comes in a tub and lasts for ages. Even works around chicken coops where the rats are feeding on grain and not bothering with other baits! Keep that to yourself now, and don't tell a soul! :-)
  6. Had a quick look at the site and just wondering why the Belisle 110 are a good bit dearer than the Bridger 110? Don't know much about any of the American brands! Are they made from better quality steel, better action, spring e.t.c?
  7. Thanks for that Lad! I'll have a root around! Glen knows his stuff alright, have his trapping dvd!
  8. Fenn's and Magnum's for mink! I get the odd lad that twists the cable on me!
  9. Hello lads! Just wondering are any of ye using swivels on your trap chains, and if so are you buying them or making your own? I'm using large fishing swivels at the moment and they do the job but just wondering is there an alternative that can be easily got or even home made?
  10. Congratulations lads on organising a great day out! The show was very impressive, with a big turnout despite the weather, with plenty of good quallity dogs on show! All the best with next years show!!!
  11. My advice! Once he's inside, lock the door, and throw away the key!

  16. First of all lads, new to this forum so HELLO! Secondly im livin in moate, and there is still three of those terriers owned by members of our gun club! We are using them to flush foxes from covers which they are ideal for! They are a very headstrong dog but also intelligent! The problem we have is that all three are dogs (no bitches) and we need to find one which is becoming a struggle! There must be a few more of these dods in the country!!!!!
