nice pup mate...what cross is the lurcher???...its probley not a good idea to have the lurcher chaseing rabbits at 4 months, you could end up making her yap and destroy him.....

just wondering why rough collies are not used to breed lurchers i dont have a great knowlage of the breed and maybe some of you could explain why they are not used to breed lurchers??? any ever have this cross or seen this cross work??? where they any good??? looking forward to reading replys from people that know more about the breed than me cheers craig

Hows yours bred? Forget the size its what its made of that counts whippet/irish terrier mate...dont mind what size he makes really if he works well which hopefully he does!!!

what do you think of small lurchers that are between 18" and 20"tts???.. do you think being this small restricts them in top end speed??.. can lurchers this size make decent ferreting/lamping dogs??? my dog at a push might make 19/20"tts so just wondering what your opinion is...either way i dont mind if hes no world beater id just like to hear your opinions on lurchers this size... hopefully you guys could give me some good answers and if anyone has a pic of lurchers 18 and 20" that would be great cheers craig

a bitch will stand for the dog around the 12th day but could be 2-3 days before or after..to be safe id split them up in 4 or 5 days and keep them apart until your sure she is gone out of heat or else you could be having some puppies!!!!

well lads i have been bringing my 5 month old lurcher pup for walks off the lead down through the feilds since i have got him...i am just wondering should i be doing this or could it cause problems when i start lamping him???...will this cause him to hunt up when lamping???..should i stop walking him through the feilds until i get him lamping???...he uses his nose alot while walking him and im not really sure what way i should go about it as it my first lurcher...looking forward to your replies lads cheers craig
