    Mate I agree that there a usefull tool and I have a locator. but when I was kid I neva had £120 for locator so you do without. We still enjoyed ferreting and caught loads rabbits. if you cant afford a locator you can still ferret. its just not a must have imo. You dont have to convince me i ferreted for years before they where invented but like everything else we have progressed so why no move with the times ??> yeah but there still going be kids who cant afford them. but still want to go out and have fun. know what mean?

    I ferreted for 10 year when was a kid without a locator. think I can remba losing 1 ferret in 10 years, its handy having a locator. but its not a must.

    Some of the holes on railway banks up ere are deep with holes that go on forever with hundreds holes. dont know whats like down yours? there needs be few of yese and need watch both sides ot the banks!

    Iv only got one collar. Iv neva hadlayup this season, but its just ur luck tou dont have to use one just makes life easier when ferret lays up.

    I've been told that under Brititsh Law (In England & Wales) there is no legal definition of Trespass, Only of causing Criminal Damage. yeah thats what im saying mate but I dont know english or welsh laws only scottish!

    you dont get done with tresspassing in scotland because u can walk anywere. but they just do u for breech of the peace instead or damaging land.

    Ya figures dont add up pal is it 1/4 deer or grey i ask this question before on percentages tread and that,s anwser i guy give me ,the sire was deerhound grey x saluki grey and the dam was 1/4 deerhound 1/4 bull 1/2 grey I would just call that a lurcher to lurcher mate cause trying work perentages and fractions on that bit waste time. you could get strong throw back from dh/ saluki/ bull. and its roughly half greyhound.

    Just let the ferret come out on its own. be patient and dont dive on it and try grab it because it will just make it even worse. I find alot of polecat coloured ferrets are jumpy at entrance of holes dont know why. maybe just me. Iv always found albions or white ferrets to be more steady. dont know what anybody else thinks?

    With the bedding i fill my nest box up with hay and the 3 of them are nice and snug in there, they make a little nest.

    you just have to keep changing them over bud ever that or put a sock over them or wrap em in cotton wool... good luck Even Wrapping them up in socks dont work, the tip just freezes so no water comes out. I find having two water bottles makes it easier and less hassle. Royal were you based about?
