    good write up mate. I always remember to take pics on my phone, but cant upload them to this site. I think the mods should change the set up. ots so easy to upload photos onto the facebook site, so I cant understand why its such a pain to do it on here. anyone know why?? it just seems its difficult for difficults sake.

    just stripped and rebuilt my mates hw . it was slipping the cocking shoe because it was worn as was the cock8ng arm. it had an ox spring in it, that had been fitted about 20 years ago, so I changed the spring for a standard hw spring and top hat. I changed the shoe and the cocking arm. I replaced the breech seal but after reassembling it the power is only running at 8-9 ft lbs. I didn't change the piston seal. could this be the problem??

    Wouldn't worry too much about what the daily star has to say. its just scare mongering. nests of 1 million rats. rats as big as cows. who also remembers the swine flu pandemic that was going to kill off millions a few years ago and the bird flu that was going to do the same.

I would be more concerned with the benefit brigade. all buying poorly bred poorly brought up bull terriers with your tax money. after all I see more scroungers with bull terriers than I do with plummers

    I have to agree with cleanspade on this 1. although all terriers should in theory be able to deal with rats, a decent plummer is hard to beat. it takes some beating on agility and nose. im not taking anything away from other terriers breeds for other types of terrier work. I just have not seen any other type of terrier as a breed come close to the plummer as a ratting dog.

    tbf I really dont take that many heart/lung shots while using either cal. I took 1 a couple months ago with .177. rat sat on the wall that surrounds a water tank. the rats head was round the corner of the tank so I couldn't see it. I had a nice safe back stop with the wall of the cattle shed, I took the shot. the rat sort of contracted a little like it was getting ready to jump, then just stayed there stone dead.

    I am on my 4th hw 100 atm. currently using a kt 177. I've tried most makes over the years, including a daystate but keep coming back to the 100. I was just wondering about the pros and cons of the airwolf and or ranger if they where to be put alongside the 100 to use as a benchmark.

    I had 2 in 2 shots a couple of months ago that weren't clean kills and I wasnt happy bout it. my zero had crept off slightly when I was putting my nv kit on. my fault. I checked before I put the nv on, but didnt check after id done it.

    daffy, a slight drop in pressure is perfectly normal after filling 5-10 bar is fine. while filling the cylinder gets hot and tge compressed air expands, then as it cools it drops in pressure. I once sent 1 of mine to get to get the power tweaked becauae it was running about 10 ft lbs. I took it to my local shop who sent away and they had it 3 months. they said they had a flood and everything had to be moved upstairs. after 2 months I phoned and was quite shitty with them. I demanded to know what was happening and what stage my gun repair was at. the guy on the phone went to look and see,

    I had a .22 for years. in all honesty I can say, it was the best springer ive ever had. it never missed a beat. would I have it back?? would I ever. I eould some times put a full tin of pellets through it in a weekend, and we once set up a little hft course in the woods behind my house. and I outshot my mate with his s410.
