  2. to be honest i doubt if youll get paid. if you gain more permission, just be glad that you managed to get it, cos permission in some places can be really really hard to come by. so take the use of the land offered, as your payment, do your best for the land owner, always tell him/her how youve got on, how many rats/rabbits. and if you do get a few bunnys always offer afew to tne land owner and who knows
  3. had a quick walk round the plots but some dodgy characters knocking about, best to leave em to it. anyway what id do is contact your local gun shop , explain what your after and then leave your number with em. that way they can contact you if owt comes in second hand. failing that, you could try maybe a gamo or an edgar bros.they would get you off the mark, but its like owt else mate, u get [bANNED TEXT] u pay for im afraid
  4. Ok guys CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP I doubt anything over 200 but that won't be a good gun but still try and suggest one

  6. just depends if you want a springer or a p.c.p. imo. a top quality springer, thats light weight and also light on the pocket is the hw 99s. its a no frills full power light weight hunting machine that wont let you down. i had 1 for a good few years. it was so acurate. out of all the air rifles iv owned that is the 1 i regret getting shot of most. if you fancy a pre charged rifle on the cheap that will do everything, iv just got a bsa ultra s/h. for 180 quid like brand new not a mark on it. and dont be put off thiking it wont do for those long range bunnys cos of the short barrel thinking it wo

  10. cheers wexford mate i apprieciate your answer. would you say that is the view of most earth dog owners? my thought would be( and this is only my opinion, i dont want to offend anybody) a working terrier would be a terrier that did any form of pest control that was asked/expected/required of it
  11. could be wrong but it seems like no one wants to let me in on the secret. come on fellas im a newbie, how is any one suposed to learn owt if none of the more experienced terrier men wont help em out

  13. the feeling of having a dog stolen is f@~king horrible. out weighed only by the feeling of eventually having it retured. lets hope that this is the eventual out come and and the thieving scum bags that stole the dog get whats coming to em
  14. the sub-heading for this section of the forum is earthdogs and working terriers. therefor im assuming that the two are completly seperate ie. foxwork underground being earthdog work. and everything else above ground ie rats, rabitts being done by the working terrier. just cant quite understand it cos some people that post on the forum, seem to think that that a working terrier has to work fox to be called a woking terrier. even though in the sub heading on the forum the two are completly seperate. the way i understand it then is that earthwork is just that. so a dog that works fox and fox a
  15. i fish the leeds liverpool quite often around chorley and other areas, in fact was there on sunday. only had one fish of around 7 lb . tried loads of different lures jerkbait , plugs, spinnerbaits, rubber worms the lot the only thing that got a bit of interest was a storm spinner with double willow blades in an orange and black pattern with a big piece of red wool on the treble. also try fishing some mepps no 3 patterns or even no 2 patterns and dont forget to give the margins pleny of attention, cos for some reason the leeds liverpool more so than the lanky or the bridge water canals seems
  16. take a look at the hw 99s . not a lot of people give em a try, tending to stick to the hw or the 97, the more well known guns. i owned a 99s for a number of years. i put thousands of pellets through that rifle, week in week out. it never let me down. and its also a good bit cheaper than the a good bit lighter but no less of rifle
  17. im the proud owner of a 5 month old plummer terrier that i got from glenn. and couldnt be happier. As for bilbos owner, i have met him only once but have corasponded a few times on the epts forum, i find all his articles/ posts interesting and informative, and look forward to reading both. i have met glenn a few times, and hold both men with the respect that both deserve . glenn for what he has already achieved for the breed and bilbos owner for getting off his backside and bringing the breed to the forfront through the articles he writes for th cmw.and through his own website. as for cal
