  1. there is no shame in doing classes leanne. i took my plummer pup along to classes. it gets them used to being around other dogs of all sizes and breeds and ages. it just means that your trying to give the best start possible to the pup. i also beleive no matter how long someone has kept dogs, that every one will learn something of value from the classes. good look
  2. i wear the brashers everyday and no problems.
  3. i use brasher walking boots. had mine nearly three yrs now still bang on no leaks or owt. £120. will get another pair when these are done. main thing is you have to get the boot that fits you best. end of. cos what might be a great boot for one person might not suit the next persons foot shape.

  5. ive used mk 4 fenns placed in a home made tunnel on well used runs. the tunnel is made from plywoodand has a flap in the middle on a hinge. inside the tunnel i also put in two small fences, 1 either side of the trap just leaving a 2 inch gap at the top. thrn iset the trap and leave the safty on for a few days and bait the trap with butter/i cant believe its not butter(what ever i can affoard at the time). then after a few days i take the safty off, the rats come down the tunnel, which by now they are used to, jump over the fence and land right in the middle of the fenn trap which now has the s

  8. just had my sisters 6 yr jrt to the vets cos she has a nasty cut pad. its cut right in two. the vet dressed it but we have to take her back in the morn to have it stitched. just wondering if anyone has any problems with the pads healing properly after a nasty cut like this , cos the vet said you only really get one try at getting them to heal properly, otherwise you can start having problems.

  12. it was happening at a big private lake nr bolton. the same lads were fishing the same peg all the time and where told and told time and again, but kept crackin on they couldnt understand, even tho the signs had been changed and included polish they kept coming back, until big dave explained it all clearly for them. he even made them a sort of treasure hunt which involved them hunting for there rods at the bottom of the lake, no big deal really seein as they were already in the lake before the treasure hunt started. on a plus side they got to keep anything they found. but needless to say the

  16. is the scope going with the rifle?
  17. yeah leanne. you reap what you sow. just do your best. and everything that you put into him will be given back to you 100 times over. thats all you need. chances are he,ll never be the best terrier in the world, but as long as hes good enough for you, and youve taught him well. all the praise you will ever need will come off that dog. not off some of the people on this site.
  18. all depends on how good you can shoot with it. will be all you need and more but make sure if your taking those long range shots that you have absolute confidence in where every single pellet is going to end up. in the kill zone. make sure you can do the job as well as the rifle can, at your chosen distances. atb
  19. some people just cant wait for others to fail. now you owe it to yourself and the pup, to prove em all wrong. tell ya what there is no better feeling. stick to it, do your best for you, and your dog. things will come good. then all the doubters will have to eat humble pie. but for gods sake dont prove them right, cos everything thats been said will then be justified. all the best with him.....
  20. everybody makes mistakes. the important thing is that we learn from them. and anyone who says they never made a mistake, never learned owt. that is how we learn . the important thing is not to make the same mistake twice!!!
