  1. i would bait an area up for a few consecutive nights with the same bait. i some times use dog biscuits. put loose ones down for the first few nights, then on the night you are due to shoot, super glue the biscuits to the ground. that way they have to gnaw at the biscuits and it gives you time to shoot them, instead of them just getting a 1 and running off with it. hope this helps pal.
  2. i agree with you bout the 99s srt . i had one of these for years. was a brilliant little rifle. deadly accurate, light weight. no frills, but its reflected in the price. wish i still had it tbh.
  3. ive spent a few full days decoying crows and maggies, with an owl deek and some maggie deeks with limited success. this is the only crow to fall victim to the hw 100, however the crow landed nowhere near the deeks or the opened up rabbit left out as bait. it landed in a tree, about 50-60 yards from the hide, and began to call. i had to creep about 30 yards, through the woods to get a shot off. i leaned up on a fence post, but found i still couldnt get a clear shot off, then a mate dropped in to the same tree, and some hopping about took place and the crow offered me a perfect shot
  4. nice write up mate. brilliant.. great shooting too pal
  5. me and a mate did it on a squirrel bout november time. both pulled the trigger at the same time. he didnt know i had took a shot and i didnt know he had took the shot. until i went to retrieve it. lol
  6. no. i dont think so. we could say that about everything. scopes, pcps but the truth is things have progressed abit. im not saying the bi-pod is a new concept, but like you say a lot more people are using them now. when i first started airgunning all those years ago, we didnt have scopes. we couldnt afford them. we made do with open sights. nowadays people have more disposable income, so most people use them. what im saying is that its an evolution in airgunning thats all. natural progression.
  7. just been offered 2 quid a rabbit off my local butcher. he says he begrudges buying chinese rabbit in, then having to sell them at 7 quid a go.

  17. ive spent a couple of days sat in a makeshift hide under the trees that they nest in. trying to get them down on the lawn where i can shoot them. i got one the other week, but it was in a tree in the orchard. but the only thing ive had while sat in the hide, is squirrels and pigeons. hopefully il get sommething soon lol
  18. what kind of caller do you use? as im in the same situation as you. tried bread, and a dead rabbit but with no results so far. also been trying an owl decoy. have been told that the owl will work better at nesting time. the crows and jackdaws have started to refurb their nests but still no results. ive had them landing in the tree tops above and calling down to a shot crow, that i had proped up next to the rabbit. but still non came down to investigate.???????
  19. hi tony. its a hawke airmax 3. and it dosnt have an adjustable objective. it has the focus ring at the back end. and the magnification ring just in front of that. if i remember rightly on the older airmax it was adjustable at the front of the scope.??????
