  1. suppose there is no right and wrongs, only personal preferences. im on my 4th 100, and I've all sorts in between but always go back to the 100. i seem to use the hw as a yard stick to measure other rifles against. tbh nothing really comes close for build quality. had a scorpion se that had been blue printed, that was very accurate. however it just wasn't the full package for me. the cocking system and the sliding pin seemed a bit second rate to me. the magazine, i didn't trust and i had a few stoppages. to me the 100 is as accurate a gun as your going to get. cocking system is amazing. magazi
  2. Preston lancs. sorry. needs to be f2f.
  3. 8 week old bsa ultra se multishot in .22 cal. never left my property since being bought. shoots spot on. comes with muzzle break, silencer mounts and a hawke airmax 3-9x50 ir scope and fill adaptor. shot approx 100 pellets. just can't justify having it sat here, when i have a hw 100 that does everything. lol. £375 ovno.
  4. at least you are man enough to admit it pal. it does happen and its not nice. some folk would have you believe its never happened to them.
  5. i have an ultra se mole. only a few weeks old. never even been out of my house yet. was just wondering which is the better of the 2, was thinking bout trading it for a super 6. always fancied 1. but might stick with the ultra for now. just not had time to do any shooting for months with my Mrs starting her own business, im flat out during the week with my job, then helping her out at week ends.
  6. thanks for replies lads would you mind explaining why??
  7. why do you feel the need to tune it??? what is it about it that you don't get on with???. is it the accuracy of the rifle???? how many different pellets have you tried and what kind where they??? have you tried a second scope on the rifle to see if that helps?? give us a bit more info Pal. im on my 4th 100 now. and I've only ever had accuracy probs once, and that was down to a defective firing valve.
  8. i need to get out and test them. just no time at the min. work work work.
  9. i had a blue printed scorpion se, and it was amazing!!!!!!
  10. anyone tried these pellets?? just tried some through the hw 100. they where pellet on pellet at 25 meters, which is as far as i can shoot in my garden. anyones thoughts on these pellets at distance????
  11. depends what you want to use it for pal. but just look at that rabbitsunami head. ouch !!!!!!!
  12. the scorpion was in my opinion a much butter rifle than the raider. having said that, i took loads of rabbits and squirrels with my turkish built raider.
  13. the scorpion came a very close second to the hw 100 pal. im not even sure if i judged them fairly on performance either ????. think the reason i opted to keep the 100 over the scorpion was the fact that i bought it brand new. is was only a couple of months old, and the cocking mechanism on the 100 is much better. but the best shot i ever pulled off was with the scorpion. there was nothing in it accuracy wise. i have an ultra se at the min. its good but i would deffo swap it for the scorpion back. lol
  14. the old dogs do come up now and again, but its a case of holding out and waiting. i also got a bsa scorpion se that had been bought brand new, sent of for a blue print. it came back and fired 4 mags of pellets in the guys back garden, then he put it in a cupboard for 6 months before selling it to me for £300 including a decent gun bag. that rifle was as accurate as anything I've ever shot. after doing a 40 shot string, there was a 3fps variance. it was phenomenal. i sold it on for a profit to a guy that had bought a mk 1 r-10. and he was left handed, but thought he would be able to use it
  15. the raider is a couple of lbs lighter i think. as i remember the raider was quite light.
  16. there you go mate. if jb says its a good one to tune, its going to be a belter when it comes back.
  17. a nice mixed bag taken with the old dog before it was given some tlc.
  18. heres the old dog that i got for next to nowt. reblued the barrel. got the stock stripped and re-oiled, wrapped the cylinder and mod. happy days.
  19. i think rowan engineering do the conversion kits also. think it adds bout 2 inch to the length of the air cylinder. but i found the early full length thumbhole version incredibly well balanced, and every bit as accurate as the newer models pal. i bought one for a song cos it had a bit of surface rust. i got my mate to reblue it and strip and re-oil the stock. it was an amazing rifle.
  20. been spraying mine with the hose pipe today. lol. they love loved it.
  21. mine are 8 weeks old now and where biting really hard and aggressive til last Tuesday, then they all stopped at once. not been nipped or bitten since. it was strange. but i don't think this heat will be helping. it will make them all grumpy!!!!
