  1. I would love to see just how far people can trace the line of their breed of Terriers? Would love to know if it's possible to go as far back as let's say Russell's Trump???
  2. Two Fell Terrier's one of which is very very Pregnant Last time out she had nine Both good solid earth dog's!!!
  3. Good on you Very well said,it has shocked me the amount of people who are quite ready to slate someone they don't know, purely and simply because of hear say,And your right about the Terrier's also,i said before that we all get some percentage of failure,it's a fact of life, but even the Terrier's that i have had that were not so good to ground,i always found a use for,Rabbiting,Rat hunting etc.
  4. I have known David for quite some time, but i know Steve better,They are both very very good Terriermen, and Dave's mag is what it is!It's like a tin of beans,it says beans on the tin and thats what's in it!EDRD is just that,im not so keen on his books lack a bit substance for me,but i don't expect every one to agree with me on that one,Seems to me there are far too many people willing to slate someone at the drop of a hat, thats what gets me about our sport,in this day and age we should really stick together. Welcome! Foxwarren to Hunting Life. Muddy. Thank you Muddy!!
  5. Could not agree more earth,Well said!!If only more people had that outlook on the matter.
  6. And this is what i find hard to grasp,If you have a Terrier, regardless of breed,if it does the job you want it to do,why does someone have the right to slag it off,Simply because of the Name of the breed??What one person finds useful in a terrier is not always what another one wants!!I'm a great believer in the thought, that it doesn't matter what breed it is,if you train it correctly then your fail rate will be low,And even the best of bred terriers will undoubtably from time to time fail, thats the nature of the beast!!
  7. Oh i agree with that,Maybe should have said all in the same boat,Paddling in different direction's,I knew DBP in the 70's and 's,And i'm more than aware of the trouble he stirred up,But you ask the same folk's who slate him,and i bet nearly all have some of his book's!!!People seem to get very jealous of another mans success,And it's a great pity because some who slate them didn't even know them! It's good when young people have someone to look up too,it doesn't really matter if its David H,or DBP!Love them or hate them, they both in their own way did good for our sport!!
  8. 10. Im not sure,I can try and find out,Will call Bob,If anyone would know he would, leave that one with me! To the uneducated (me) , Vampire came across as a mad hunting ratting dog , never read or heard about him doing earth work , so to me that makes a lot of difference to my opinion of the dog , I still dont think any dog is worthy of killing his sibblings but hats off to him as it looks like he just wasnt a bully but a fearless little bugger, Am i right in tnhinking he was a short legged type. Yes Vampire was tiny, around 11 inch's,And would slaughter rats all night long, often taking

  13. He's a very Handsome dog that one of yours, its made my day to see a pic of him,Thankyou Im sorry to hear you lost him to ground ,Yes her father was Vamps,God where do you start with a dog like that,He killed his Brothers, sisters,Would go insane if bitten by a rat to the point that if there wasnt another rat around he would start a fight with dog or bitch,I saw him work to ground many times on fox and badger,he was rock solid with badger's,But with fox would just go clean beserk,He caused Brian more problems than he was worth, and to be honest i think he was relived when he passed away!!
