Hi have a look at the new air arms s410 carbine or the new air arms s510 (i think that's the new model number) from experience the air arms 410 is a great bit of kit (aslong as you can get along with the multishot spindle) and the new 510 has the new leaver action cocking mech which is easier. atb

Potential rat problem
prontopestcontrol replied to Gooner's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I have to say i totally agree with Matt, it aint worth messing with the potential health of family and pets. I've seen way to many people buying diy products and or taps placing them in areas that are way too accessable to non target species or don't follow the instructions to the letter and wonder why tiddles the family cat is laying stiff in the garden. This is the point they normally call the professionals in and end up paying way over what they would have done by calling us in , in the begining. Atb -

Hi just got back from one of my permissions after making a start on thier rabbit problem during which time i bagged a pheasant. My question is how do you prepair them, do you still have to hang them or can you just pluck, gut and freeze them .. any advice would be much appreciated...

Hi dogdigger, i wouldn't put a ferret down a whole where i know young are it aint worth it, as para said you'll end up spending most of your time digging. I was in merthyr over the weekend on some permission i have down there and noticed a few young (not many) but they didn't last long with a air arms .22 diablo pellet through the skull. atb
