  1. Thanks for all the info and offer of help, but now got my money back. just told them how small the gundog world is and how big the internet is, I reminded them its hard to get a good reputation and how easy they are lost. Once again thanks Gene.
  2. Went to see them yesterday as they argreed, not there.... what a suprize. Saw a the guy next door and he told me to go today, as some kids get dropped off around 10ish, so they will be in. The neighbor also said they are not to be trusted and he hoped they didn't owe me money!!!!! Tradeing standards on monday and a call to BASC if I get no joy, will also get the vet info and check it out with them. I still need to get hold of Dave Bishop, but he may be a the midlands. Cheers for all the replys, Gene.
  3. The dog is 2 1/2yrs old and was used last season, I'm going to see them tomorrow to try and get it sorted. the dog was not showing signs of any ear problems, I had him to my vet who said he was under weight and had skin mites and payed for his antibiotics/medicaded shampoo.
  4. the breeder showed me the dog working on dummy's, we could not shoot as a horse was in fold and they only have a paddock. the only time I shot over the dog was when I took him back. I know the have 2 litters of lab's due any day now, pup's to sold as working/field trial....

  6. Hi All, 3 weeks ago I bought a part trained gundog (fox red lab) from a local breeder, I was told it was trained by David Bishop the FT judge. After a week of settling in and a trip to the vets (under weight and skin mites), I took him out shooting, my friend was 50 or 60 yards away from and when his gun went off the dog ran away. We got the dog back after an hour search and took him home, I contacted the breeder to tell them the dog is gun shy and they told me to take him back the following Monday, which I did for them to have a look at him. We took him out to the field and the breeder t

  15. Hi all, I've been thinking of getting a pup for the last few month's now, having lost both my terriers this year. I'm looking at getting an Irish water spaniel to use for wildfowling and picking up. I have a sprocker that I got part trained and he is terrified of guns, not the bang just the gun, well anything that looks like a gun. He is now a pet and a great dog, but I need a working dog to shoot over. I would appreciate any info/input on Irish water spaniels. cheers Gene.
  16. Cheers for the pm, will be in touch and let you know how I get on. ATB, Gene.
