Better pics now she has dried in the sun -
Well finally joined the club of mole catchers who have caught a white mole when I pulled this little beauty out of the ground in a talpex trap today :-)

Any one tried using the Change of Address/Security Notification page on the West Mercia Police website? I filled in all my details and the hit the Submit button but nothing happens but neither are there any errors when I scroll up. I've tried it on 2 different PCs and a iPad using a variety of browsers but none work. I have swapped emails with their support desk and sent screen shots who initially told me the page was ok but its not. I've worked in IT for over 30 years so pretty much know what I am doing and to me its broken. They have now referred it to there IT supplier. Anyone

Cheers mate - I was thinking about putting mine up off the ground

Hi Chaps, Has anyone used these and what did you think? http://www.elgeeco.co.uk/fenntrapcage.html Cheers, Dave.

Have a look on ebay and find someone selling sample packs like this:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22-AIR-RIFLE-SAMPLE-PACKS-40-x-22-PELLETS-PER-PACK-CHOOSE-FROM-OVER-TWENTY-/331616420979?var=&hash=item4d35e10473 I did this with my AA S510 and found that H+N FTT gave the best results although AA Fields were a close 2nd.

It was good the hear from your again mate and glad you nailed him next with the trusty Talpex :-)
-
Plastic buckets from farmers with wire handle and usually white. Original were sheep licks or had molasses in.
-
bryn27 - to increase the distance between the trigger plate and round bar it comes up to meet when it fires. As I say not strictly necessary but I think it improves an already great trap.
-
Shropshire Mole - a bend down mate :-)
-
Yep as Matt said a slight bend in the trigger plate . Not strictly necessary but something I like to do and gives me a near 100% success rate with Talpex traps.
-
As already said and as I've said before - ratbait are a great company to deal with. Fast delivery and genuine Talpex traps. I have 70 Talpex all from ratbait which have paid for themselves many times over and its rare for me to have one go off without a mole in. I do make one small modification to them which helps too.

Curiosity, How The Hell Did Moles Get There?
davedavedave replied to Tiercel's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I also have a theory that cats catch them and then drop them without killing them - we all know how quickly they can bury themselves when the cat is distracted. A friend saw this happen and it would explain how they end up in some strange domestic situations. -
Although the feeders are there for the pheasants they are magnetics for squirrels too so a quiet stalk into them does make good sport plus a silenced PCP does not disturbed the birds.
-
Went for a mooch today and shot this bad bot next to one of my new galvanised dustbin pheasant feeders.
-
Yes good company to deal with as the stuff arrives within a day or 2. Talpex traps are the real McCoy and they sell good mole dibbers so thumbs up from me for them.
-
Yes I saw this last March when we had the late snow and I had some traps buried under 2ft of snow for a couple of weeks giving the 2nd mole plenty of time to chomp on his pal..

Hi, I caught this fine looking specimen today and he measured out at a shade under 7 inches when I put the tape by him. Wiki says the average is about 5 inches What's the biggest one anyone else has caught? atb, Dave.

Genuine Talpex Suppliers
davedavedave replied to perthshire keeper's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
As I said before these are genuine ones - proper stamp of the trigger plate and correct packaging. In fact I've have just bought some more:- http://www.ratbait.co.uk/talpex-mole-trap-490-p.asp I also use Flatpack barrel traps too as I like to use a mixture of the both sytle traps depending on where I am setting in the field, soil conditions etc -
