  4. ditch try using a 1 litre bottle as a drinker, cut a 3 or 4 inch square in the side( about 4 or 5 inchs off the floor). tie it in the corner of the larson with a bit of string. there tail hits off the back of the bottle so find it almost impossible to mess there water, guess the same idea would work with there food.... another tip for catching hoodies, use a one piece stick with a small brass type hook in the end and a screw about 3 inchs up the shaft with just the head showing, hook onto partition behind the entry door, using the screw to act as a stop for the door. found this prevents a
  5. a good read mate, keep at it ...... happy hunting
  6. you too genourous mate,, wouldnt give him f..k all head start, after all it would be classed as vermin control not sport
  7. would never feed venison to my dogs that i didnt know how it was killed, when vets are called out to a deer that has been bumped the injection they use ( to compensate the shock i think) aint to good for you or your animals to consume.. only learnt this a few weeks ago at a basc game handleing course,,, so be warned all

  10. dont worry quite yet mate, give the other one time.. think my last dog pup dropped his about 6 month.. some will say remove it if it dont drop while others will say it is ok to leave....
  11. joe im gutted for you, hope it comes right for the dog, aint happened to any of mine yet, touch wood, but im sure id be  chin up mate
  12. You can get better. The bullx is over rated. A good beddyx will take a battering time and time again Anything with a beddy in it is a ready made fox dog. These bull things that are about these days dont even look like lurchers. They grab hold of the quary by any part and just hold on(bum biters) witch means things die slowly at the hands of a bullx . We all know the real reson most people got one of these things anyway b****** the dirty b*****ds. smoothrun... what a load of shit !! you aint been out with any of the well bred stuff that was mentioned earlyer in this thread then..
  13. This is my old half cross (brindle).... a touch on the slow side not by much though, was a good dog for drawing before times changed...

  16. alrite all had some off the boys up bushing the last few days, wet but good fun, all on keepered ground, shot 3, put 3 to ground, and caught the rest with lurchers ( after being wounded of course, wouldnt dream of runnin a healthy fox) and [bANNED TEXT] any one says it im north of the boarder so was all above board... off out for a few now. well earned i thinks......

  21. if your dogs are that hard that a fox aint a good test for them whats all this about doubling up???? is this not a prime way to suffocate a earth dog?? or kill him by gettin pushed forward into his quarry by the dog behind him tryin to push past??? is it not right that by puttin a second dog in your reducing the chance of a bolt?? I have no real right to say it as i have never met you but your words dont sound like they come from someone who i would call a true earth worker,,, so come on get some pics up of your terriers as im sure they will be some state if they av been working any qu

  24. Every dog is different, mine used to strike where ever they could and then either shake or crunch, the latter normally took a bit more stick than a shaker, as long as your dog had a good heart he would off done the job one way or another, it dont really matter how he did it. the good old days eh
