by the sounds of it, i.e it runs with the lurchers , & you would have to catch it first.... dont sound good to me.. back to basics and dont take it out hunting for a while... just my humble opinion... but it dont sound good.... best of luck with it , ali
thurso jack, your spot on there.... could someone tell me why they have to be a good hard diggin dog before you can breed from them?? each to there own, rats, rabbits, or fox its all still work for the dog, no one makes you buy the pups... just my opinion
it dont take long for a terrier to learn that the sound of hounds, horses, and even the horn means its time to go to work. taking them to a few hunt day digs and let them get used to the sounds and smells before you try entering them should help. my bitch had here first proper dig last year when out with the hounds for her first day out, imo if the dog has got its mind on the job 100 % it shouldnt matter whats going on on top.... sure people may have different veiws but theres mine.....
im lookin to put a few false eaths in on some of my ground that aint got that many naturals, i do a bit of digging so know what a fox is able to get in to size wise etc. i just dont want to go to all the effort and find out id f**ked it up, so thought id bettere ask , have you made any that get used, how deep do they need to be, pipe or brick ????? any advise would be handy, and yes theres enough foxs about to make it worth my while.. cheers in advance
