  12. dont ask me why i posted it on the terrier section, should remember what section the thread is in before i post... lol so do on the rats lads keep it up
  13. It's not about numbers. Once you start going down that road, you loose respect for your Quarry. IMO no i guess what you say is right for the majority of people , but as its summer and there aint many new threads going up so i think fair play, size of foxs and the word anything were also used in his post so it aint just about numbers.. also keepers etc like myself see the humble rabbit, fox etc as vermin, , but hey each to there own i guess, heres our best night on the bunnies....
  14. good to see her havin fun graham, hope she does well for u... cheers for keepin me updated

  19. some estates on deeside have had fires starting back up 3 days after they finished burning
  20. dont think so, not to my knowledge anyway, just a bitch with a good head... jock, no leaving that for lamping this coming winter, will pm you his number... thanks for the comments, ali
  21. no doubt this will raise a few comments on the rights and wrongs of terrier work at this time of year, but as a keeper its a essential part of vermin control not only on my estate but hundreds across the country.. so if your going to come up with the "think about next years sport" comments please go read another thread.... we did 6 estates over the last 8 days, covering 10s of thousands of acres.. We had a few good digs and bolts,, accounting for 14 foxs.. one memorable one for me was bolting one from a open patch of ground in a big quarry plantation, there was 6 shots fired only one hit
  22. well knob.. i wouldnt take out pups that were not ready to get in about, which they obviosly aint, they didnt even have a chew o and as for wantin that dog in your kennels it dont really say much for what your keeping now dos it, ok it went well for a saluki but its work rate etc is absolutly no difference to alot of lurchers that go with things with teeth week in week out... I've got dogs in my kennel that do what I want them to do. There aren't any Arabian Wolves around here, but I had a Saluki that woud kill Wild dogs in the middle east. You obviously have great experience of d
  23. fair play, seams like its a good year for dens.. better to get them out the road now rather than later
