Fir Trees To Hold Phasants ????
alimac replied to ratter1234's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
There good cover for 10 years or so then they block out all light & it becomes bare and cold at ground level very quick after that, birds just won't hold in it the same as when it was younger.. -

Woods.. But it's ok for you lot to look down on them?? They were the first to be accused so in my eyes had a right to defend themselves in the media. Wheaton.. From your post I referred too it looks to me as if it's a numbers game to you, so il stand by what I said. It's only my opinion and that probably not worth a toss to you but hey ho. Wether or not is kept going by a "amature huntsman" or not it's still been going a long long time & has continued to put thousands of £ into your local economy through out that time.. This them & us f***ing stinks... We have a rebel pack hun -

They might not be able to keep hunt staff but to keep a hunt of any kind going since the earlie 19th century isn't bad going is it?? -

True enough as a said I'm not knocking rebel packs at all, if they've permission crack on and enjoy. But just frustrates me looking at posts like that from a supposed fellow hunting man.. -

If you surround a cover with loads of lurchers & guns then yes the rebel packs probably did do "better" as you say than registered packs did before the ban. But as i take it your meaning of "better" is more foxes killed, then hunting was clearly a numbers game to you, I'm afraid to say it but you were clearly in it for all the wrong reasons, I'd even go as far as saying the attitude is similar to that of some of the rifle brigade. To say that they are more committed than folk from a registered pack is f***ing bollocks too, the folk behind the scenes of running a kennels, country, fallen -
In this country these day nothing would f***ing surprise me, especially if the bloke looking after it was eastern European, lol

Like it or lump it, when it was allowed a fox hunted by hounds either lives or dies there and then. No matter how competent a shot someone is you will either kill it cleanly, miss it cleanly or the third option that lies between the two.. It's a un arguable fact I'm afraid.. Maybe he worded it wrongly in his artical,??? I for one don't know as I don't waste my money on that shite publication.. I'm not saying either is right or wrong before someone gets a Hardon about my post, lol

I'd say they mistook a hound for the said fox & are pictured saving the tax payer money by eating a bit of road kill, saves the council cleaning it up ?? -
Because its what the British Paying Public want, and not to mention its live on camera Fury saying what he is going to do to Price so if you talk the talk you should walk the walk or you just end up looking silly. But as it stands now there's only one fighter/camp that looks silly & that ain't tysons..

Will All Long Ear Dogs Quit Eventually?
alimac replied to pattstaff's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Depends on how slow they go. Hounds manage it most days. But a hound will only go as fast as its nose will let it... Bit different from a sighthound -

My best mate had a load of pine chopped & stacked which he kept in the nursery greenhouses for about 18 month , he was moaning that it burnt too quick , sure enough it was sitting at about 3 or 4 % u could near light it with a lighter.. I used to get all the off cuts from a company that built timber framed houses, would get 5 or 6 tote bags a week, couldn't burn it quick enough...

Your no joking! Mind down Hawick 2010 it was waist high!! What you shooting? Thin air or possibly rabbit hunter ?? :-)

It's better than a Xmas episode of deadenders.. The saying " put up or shut the f**k up " springs to mind.. If folk have a personal issue with him then go sort it out in person instead of sounding off on the Internet like a bunch of kids, it's pathetic, but is decent entertainment watching you all getting your knickers in a twist.. Never met him & have no intention too but all this IMO is just giving the fella the attention he seams to crave??!!

Feck in hell!!!! I'd be blocking that place up tighter than a nuns c..t, I can honestly say if I got a reading like that I'd be ringing around for a shot of a different box & a big digger, lol.. Hats off to you all.. Atleast she went doing what she loved.. Rip old girl, a dig ul take to your grave no doubt....
