Yes i saw this a good while ago now.Was very good shame about end though.
-
He has already sold 76 yeah i was looking at them in the week good price &45 all including delivery. cant see you going far wrong with one.just remember 100w will drain your battery in half the time than a 55w lamp.
-
that lamp looks ok mack.just a pity you gotta shell out so much money up front.way out o my league. BUT. now you lads are getting the picture see what i mean all the named lamps will either be sourced parts wise or complete from the far east. dont get me wrong im not on a crusade here.but it just bugs me when i see stuff being greatly over charged for and some of its badly made.

This is a lamp im looking at.just waiting on a e-mail off a contact through work.final price with p&p and all that. i will order one then give it a tryout.without the dog mind this time of year.see what the range is like and how tight the beam is.

The reason ive put this topic up is i work in the electrical manuacturing trade.27years. ive been involved with plastic moulding, assembly, wiring and also know the price of parts, raw materials. And im trying to either source a lamp or parts so i can put them on the market for say 25 pounds+p&p.im not a e-bay seller or anything like that just a common working class bloke with a interest in this kind of stuff.and dont like paying over the odds for stuff. i want to keep it simple with 12v/55watt.H3 halogen bulb.which is more than enough for a bit o rabbiting.it wont be variable focus on the

As above. Now bearing in mind they are cheap polycarbonate in construction.all the switches, cable, lens will all be sourced from china most probally. yet for a well named lamp you can be talking upwards and above 100 pounds.with more cheaper stuff coming on sites like e-bay all the time.and will all be from the far-east same as everything else.and will be cheap to buy if you willing to buy a couple of hundred. So what you lot paid for yours as it been as good as you liked?have you tried any of the cheapies knocking around? good or bad?

longdogbow replied to gamekeeperjohn's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
thanks for putting the link up mackam. ive never had the chance to shoot with the one the old guy has but it would be interesting to see what the acurracy is like. i have a barnet compound xbow which is very accurate at shorter distances but the range drops off alot using 16 inch bolts.and ive yet to try some at 20 inches. the barnet is 150lb draw and 350fps.thats why ive asked the question above as it would be interesting to know with the catty statistics -

I have a question for you bud.have you ever measured the draw weight on the bands at full draw in lbs. in archery we use a very simple one just hook it round the string and then draw back to full draw.just a thought. could be hooked round the pouch with no shot.then draw back and it would tell you in pounds the exact amount of force thats propelling the shot out of the pouch. like i said just a thought i had while watching your vids. nice cattys. -

I really feel for you guys over there border there. Here in Wales our kids are taught to be proud of being Welsh, to have pride in the flag, and on every St. Davids day the primary schools are awash with in red green & white & national dress. From what I read in the papers, you guys are being taught exactly the opposite, being told your flag is racist, etc. Your bang on there malt.
